Exactly the same situation as when City wanted Sanchez from Arsenal.

London media spun it that City were trying to use Sterling in the deal as a swap which was nonsense.

I’m would hope City realise that none of the players mentioned as being offered would have an interest in joining Spurs - so why would they offer them in the first place ??

Doesnt make sense
We’d look pretty stupid if we offered a play, sorted the deal out just for the player to turn round and say, me ? to Spurs ? are you having a laugh, fuck that.

It’s a shame our PR department is non existent for such a large organisation. The papers will have half our team in a swap deal next. We need to grow some balls and call out these so called journalists.
There is absolutely no point in waging war on journos who get paid to chat this sort of nonsense unfortunately. Silence has always been our best weapon and we deal with things head on only when it gets to a certain point re; UEFA case.

Spare a thought for these twats. Make up a headline and then make up another headline based on the first lie. You've got to be desperate to press send/post after reading it back to yourself.

'City player annoyed after being offered to Spurs in a swap deal...'

Some of these feckers should be arrested at passport control if they say they are 'journalists'.

The question you have to ask yourself is ‘Are City ran by idiots’
Because you would have to be a proper idiot to think you could offer a player, without his consent or knowledge to another club, a player with a couple of years left on their contract who is in negotiations to extend, a player who has ambitions to be at the very best club and win trophies every year.
This is why I call bullshit, it makes no sense to anyone involved to alienate a player in that way. Plus the fact that we most definitely aren’t run by idiots.
On top of that we supposedly briefed a journalist of our plan too. So we are asked to believe that City did all of the above, without talking to Raheem AND compounded it all by telling a journalist or two along the way.

utter bullshit.

Really surprised it’s come from Mullock tbh.
He’s normally above the bullshit.
Suppose he has bills to pay like everyone else.

He's not privy to being offered to Spurs or anybody else, but would obviously have every right to be upset, although he still doesn't believe that is the case and people are shit stirring.

As stated previously, if City indicate they want him gone, and they haven't, then he is more than prepared to sit tight for the final two years of his deal.

He will make up the lost wages on a free transfer to a club of his choosing.

The word inside the club is City want him to stay and get his renewal sorted.

I think the vast majority of our support recognise he is a bloody good player. However, I think its widely recognised he was off the boil over the last season.

The problem we have, is that many people think these players are robots.

They're not. They're just like the rest of us, and maybe start-stop-start nature of the last couple of seasons took its toll on Sterling mentally?

Hopefully after the Euros and a bit of rest, he'll be back firing once again.
