will never not be weird to me how pissed people get over a fairly innocuous report by a well respected, reliable journalist that's clearly briefed by the club all the time, because they don't like what it says
Is he briefed, is anyone briefed. Why would anyone brief this story anyway. The story makes no sense, so is dismissed as nonsense.

I think the vast majority of our support recognise he is a bloody good player. However, I think its widely recognised he was off the boil over the last season.

The problem we have, is that many people think these players are robots.

They're not. They're just like the rest of us, and maybe start-stop-start nature of the last couple of seasons took its toll on Sterling mentally?

Hopefully after the Euros and a bit of rest, he'll be back firing once again.
Not sure about the vast majority.

Sterling is a player who's reputation is not befitting a player of his quality and record.

His numbers at club level and International are top quality and consistent, yet I get the feeling the majority would be happy if he left.

He's not privy to being offered to Spurs or anybody else, but would obviously have every right to be upset, although he still doesn't believe that is the case and people are shit stirring.

As stated previously, if City indicate they want him gone, and they haven't, then he is more than prepared to sit tight for the final two years of his deal.

He will make up the lost wages on a free transfer to a club of his choosing.

The word inside the club is City want him to stay and get his renewal sorted.

I thought the good news you mentioned re Sterling today/tomorrow was going to be he’s signed his contract..doesn’t sound like I‘m right so intrigued now.

Does anyone else feel like we have been sacrificing pace for technique over the last few seasons. I think both Kane and Grealish are good players and would not be adverse to signing either of them but we seem to be becoming a slower side overall.

9 times out of 10 it probably wouldn’t be a huge problem as we dominate possession and do not need quick counter attacks but in the games against other top sides, be it in the prem or the CL, we do lack a real speed merchant other than Raheem when we may need to get up the field at speed. I think that is why Pep played him in the CL final.

It’s why I think I’d prefer Haaland or maybe Lukaku over Kane just for their quicker speed.

Spare a thought for these twats. Make up a headline and then make up another headline based on the first lie. You've got to be desperate to press send/post after reading it back to yourself.

'City player annoyed after being offered to Spurs in a swap deal...'

Some of these feckers should be arrested at passport control if they say they are 'journalists'.

I read the story in the Daily Fail. The reader comments were mostly along the same lines as yours.

Definitely,Pep has prioritised technique, possession and control ahead of pace, hence why we make a thousand passes a game and the opposition often resort to 'parking the bus'.Its also a reason one or two of our less technical players aren't as comfortable anymore.

If Arsenal are really stumping up close to 50M for ben white, well then Sterling is worth as much as Kane or 100M, so the fact the mail clowns say it's part of a cash + player deal shows it is aload of bollocks unless it is spurs that are offering us Kane plus money for sterling ;-)

It’s just other people’s opinions. You say respected, reliable and well briefed journalist. I say very few of those, if any, exist. Martin Samuel?

Congratulations on receiving a like from oh right. Time to review your opinions if he’s liking them. :D
