I do think that ship has sailed, but a part of me wouldn't be surprised seeimg us go for him again in January. I hope we don't.

Well we know Laporte wanted to leave. Stones' injury history mean we have to have 3 front line CBs.

I expect we'll be linked with a lot of CB's this season until Laporte public walks back his "i'm here for now, but..." comments from January.
 
Maybe Laporte and Ake out with de ligt in? Can still see Eric wanting to go back to Spain and possibly Ake might want to go next summer if he doesn’t play that much? Possibly tempt Newcastle?
