didnt delap sign a contract fee months back and said he know how hard it will be but he looks at foden to see it’s a slow process..
He signed a deal until 2023 and I expect he'll want integrating the same way Foden has been - which is looking likely after Pep's comments.

Delap has said all the right things so hopefully he'll get decent opportunities and sign another longer term contract.

Young players with Delap's potential hold a lot of cards, as seen with Sancho, and the argument was that these players can easily see a future elsewhere and run down their contracts. Like Delap left Derby for us, he could (hypothetically as I don't think he will) do the same with us.

Pep didn't say we weren't going to be making any signings this summer, he just in effect said we won't be spending what we can't afford. He's playing the game and sending a message back to the Haarland camp that we will have a price and won't be involved in any games and bidding war. We will have other targets don't worry about that, it's just the point we decide to play our hand and go all in or move on to target 2/3/4. I'm cool with whatever the club does, we are the most sustainable and we'll run club in world football. Let the others overspend, the majority of which are already crippled with debt and it'll be thier undoing. The other clubs must be breathing a sigh of relief after what pep alluded to in his presser.
