There is no offer from Liverpool, they were very quick to brief it was bullshit.

Juventus have asked to be kept updated but no offer, same Chelsea.

Barca have been speaking to his people since Jan but only this week they have sat down.

Inter Milan have asked but only if they are forced to sell Lukaku or Latauro, so would be surprised if he went there.

Messi still has Barca dangling to his whims and Sergio is convinced they are favourites as things stand.

The London press will have the begging bowl out on Kane's behalf.

Hope it was just coincidence I was actually watching Citizen Kane the other night with Orson Welles when I was channel flicking, haha!

I wouldn't be averse to his signing,i aint mad (despite what some think!) but i would definitely us rather bring in Erling.

Kane would certainly answer a few of our problems though.

I know what you mean, certainly I wouldn't turn my nose up at Kane, but part of me would rather save the cash if we can't agree a fee for Haaland, and either get Erling or Mbappe with a mammoth signing on fee next summer?

Subsequently, I'd sign Grealish this summer and persist with a strong set of false nine options (Kane is a top player but he won't give us anything more than Sergio can right now, which is effectively a burned out press)

I’m sure we could manage with Delap and Gabby as options when we want to change it up from the false 9, if it’s not working and we’re desperate then make a move in January for Earling or Kilian.

Couldnt agree more.

I was asked the very same question this morning and i couldnt answer,as i couldn't come up with a bone fide alternative.

The false 9 situation will serve us for another season,and,who knows,that 12 months may even see an acceptable development in Delap that makes him another viable option.

Similar situation with Lavia,if Fernandinho gives us an extension.

Delap will develop far better having the shit kicked out of him,while giving plenty back,in the Championship.THB is proving that currently.

To be truthful, I don't want us to just manage next season.

We have been forced into the false nine this season simply because Aguero wasn't fit, while Sterling and Jesus have become less effective in front of goal.

It's worked because Pep is a genius and we have players such as Phil, Gundo, Kev and Bernie, who make it work through sheer talent and intelligence.

We have our foot on the throats of domestic and European football and it's an opportunity which might not come around again for a while, so we must do all we can to deliver Haaland or Kane, it will be the final dagger required to essentially ensure the next cycle is continued trophies and keep rivals at arms length.

Do teams that get to CL finals strive to "manage"?

Fuck that, we should be striving to stick the boot in as hard as we fucking can by getting the very very best through the door.
