Fernandinho, Rodri and Gundo at DM (that said I really like Rodri and Gundo but they're not destroyers - Fernandinho, as fantastic as he was, is now well past his prime but will likely contribute as a valued backup).
Mendi and Zinchenko at LB?

Not a priority to upgrade?

No it's not a priority because replacing Aguero and the seemingly outbound Bernardo has been.

Obviously not, or we'd have tried. We didn't.

Regardless of Grealish, where are the other signings that I think we really need?

Assuming we sign Kane (we obviously need a striker or two) - I think we really need a DM, and could use a LB and CB (assuming Laporte leaves).
You asked a question......i answered it, correctly and factually!!

How insightful were you looking for exactly? Lol.

Well then - perhaps you'd care to enlighten us with your opinion of our signings so far this transfer window and why or why not such signings meet your expectations.
we will sign harry kane.
and i love our signing of jack grealish.

why have we changed our transfer policy you ask?
not sure but maybe" .. its a reaction ( not kneejerk) to the champions league final defeat.
khaldoon wants the big prize

I think the World Cup is a factor. England will go in as a strong team and Grealish, Kane, Foden, Sterling, Walker, Stones all City players, there's got to be some marketing advantage there.

Also how often are two of the best English players available in the same transfer window? They are today's equivalent of Shearer and Gascoigne.

....or maybe the best way to increase followers/fans which leads to more income...which leads to lesser effect any FFP/ Salary cap etc rules will have in future......Is to have the current England capt playing for us, with the added bonus of becoming the PL's top scorer in our shirt, and having the current fanboy wankbank icon playing for us?
Not necessarily my opinion....just suggesting a possibility ;)

Majority would agree on the need to improve on the left back spot. But that said we also can't be signing just anyone. There might be a few candidates but I think the market doesn't quite have the right profile for us. After all, our full backs aren't just any full backs, the requirements are massive

It's not a reaction to the CL final for sure, we were enquiring about Kane last summer for starters. No club spends circa £230million as a reaction to anything.

I'm still of the mind that it's an indication of the long term planning by City. We've built the squad up of quality players throughout, and we only need to replace or refresh certain spots each season with the best available. The other replacements will come from the youth system which is looking more and more like a conveyor system for us. There will be the odd outlier (which Grealish could be considered as) and they'll deal with them as they come along.
