Haha. It's a fair point. I talked to him for two hours last Friday. He's helping me out on a project I'm working on.
Basically he said that since he left UEFA they have not opened a single corruption case against a player, a league, or an official. In the time that he was there he personally prosecuted sixty plus cases at varying levels of the sport.
But he also explained just how hard it is to prove corruption - and as for matching fixing - forget it. They can know, know a game has been manipulated, but are pretty much powerless to actually do something for various reasons.
