it’s incompetence because our management listen to the wrong people.
We can all want a Big Mac meal but even if you are an employee there if the owner doesn’t open the door, you can’t get one no matter how much a staff member wants to sell you one.

city’s took levy’s silence as a negotiating tactic. Kane’s brother kept telling them it would get done.

we didn’t walk, we were completely ignored.

They were talking to the help and not the decision maker.
All the experts are here now. Not sure how the club have managed the last 12 years without a blue moon team of experts advising how to run a football club.

If you believe that we weren’t in negotiations at all for Kane then you must be even more stupid than your Big Mac analogy. We wanted a player, he wanted to come, we bid, it wasn’t enough, we rebid what was our final offer and it wasn’t enough, we walked. Such is business. Levy and City both had a figure in mind and it appears Spurs weren’t budging. On to the next one….
Literally all the London sources have continuously confirmed Levy wasn’t negotiating. It’s well known at this point. Even today the brief is city never knew a figure because Levy never answered requests for one.

we’ve some bloody blinkered fans who are annoyed we couldn’t bully Spurs with a blank chequebook.

Here’s the crux of it to break it down because genuinely some people can’t see it.

The Kane’s told city they could get him for for circa 120 mil. Gentleman’s agreement with Levy.

city offered 2-3 amounts depending on who you believe ranging from 75 mil to 150 mil.

Levy ignored all approaches.

The only contact we seem to have had was with Kane’s people who have handled this absolutely woefully.

I am completely happy with the way City handle transfers, we only pay what we are willing to pay, and don’t offer huge fees or wages to get the deal done. If Kane really wanted to move to us he would have made it happen.

What if the Big Mac wasn't going to do you any good. Or by keeping the Big Mac it meant turning down good money which you'd never get again. Then who is incompetent? You've got time to reply, I'm off to McDonalds.

hey I don’t think Levy’s done the smart thing here, but he’s gone and done it either way and you have to respect him for it.
