To be truthful, I don't want us to just manage next season.

We have been forced into the false nine this season simply because Aguero wasn't fit, while Sterling and Jesus have become less effective in front of goal.

It's worked because Pep is a genius and we have players such as Phil, Gundo, Kev and Bernie, who make it work through sheer talent and intelligence.

We have our foot on the throats of domestic and European football and it's an opportunity which might not come around again for a while, so we must do all we can to deliver Haaland or Kane, it will be the final dagger required to essentially ensure the next cycle is continued trophies and keep rivals at arms length.

Don't know that the opportunity won't come around again because, at least as far as domestic game is concerned, we have had the opportunity before so who knows. What I firmly believe is that one "failing" of the club is not being totally ruthless in the transfer market and making the kind of killer signing(s) that would make us totally dominant for an extended period; as opposed to just being the top English side of the past decade.

It's time that we were indisputably the world's best team. Time to crush windpipes ;-)

I wouldn't be averse to his signing,i aint mad (despite what some think!) but i would definitely us rather bring in Erling.

Kane would certainly answer a few of our problems though.
Would Kane be a better fit for delap coming through?

I know what you mean, certainly I wouldn't turn my nose up at Kane, but part of me would rather save the cash if we can't agree a fee for Haaland, and either get Erling or Mbappe with a mammoth signing on fee next summer?

Subsequently, I'd sign Grealish this summer and persist with a strong set of false nine options (Kane is a top player but he won't give us anything more than Sergio can right now, which is effectively a burned out press)
Surely the signing of grealish depend on the possible failure of signing Haaland?

Not getting a striker afte letting Sergio go seems a bit short sighted - I knwo we have played the false 9 t great effect this yeat but Pep has already said that things have to change - we cant stand still and rely on our tactics this year, working next year

Personally I wouldnt go anywhere near Kane - injuries being one reason, second being ai dont think he is mobile enough to play in our front 3 (his hold up play is good however but then again so Is Jesus')

Dortmund have shown how stubborn they can be when sticking to their evaluations...they did it with Sancho...So if they are really asking for 150m i cant see us paying that.....80-100m yes....but would Dortmund drop that low from their evaluation.

I also dont think Grelish offers us anything better than what we have now...Haaland does and hugely so...for me Grelish is not a player Id be after.....

One of haaland Kane mbappe or Messi is a must in my opinion ! I don’t mind which one either , each one would take us to the next level
Dont think Messi is coming...esp with Sergio likely going the other way.....the only question maybe is what happens if Barca are prevented from playing champs league due to their invovlement in the ESL (and would Sergio then want to go there if they are effectively removed from that competition for being one of the 3 teams still effectively part of the ESL (along with Juve and Madrid)

I mean.....Gabby is still here

He may not be Aguero...but he is Brazil's number 9...and has scored a LOT of goals for us

I do think we need a new striker, Gabby isn't ruthless enough....but we its not like we have no natural strikers

Gabby in Serie A or Ligue 1 would do big numbers as a striker, sometimes its hard to see just how good he is

If Haaland is gonna cost €150mil and Lewandoski €60mil then yea

Haaland is setting records coz he's beating other youth players, Lewandowski is literally breaking every bundesliga record

36 goals in 25 games.....he is clear of Haaland

Also why does this mean Haaland is never going to join us

We can still activate his clause next summer if we want, or we could just buy him at another time

Lewandowski literally makes us unbeatable for the next 2 years, maybe longer as he never gets injuries so has many years ahead of him

But you’d get your money back on Haarland in years to come... you’d never get a penny back on Lewandowski.

I’m starting to think going for a midfielder would be more beneficial than a centre forward. We have Jesus, de Bruyne and Bernardo as well as Delap. Look at the team today. We wanted to rest our first team and we only had one midfielder left. What a difference someone like Aouar or Grealish could have made from the start today.
