Pretty sure its as a playerThat doesn’t mean as a player.

That made me laugh, you advised me to stop being so defensive on City s behalf and here's you defending United. :)Well they have Cavani who is a very good forward and are going to give for Sancho...so again no need for grealish...
We've been here beforeWell, let's put it this way, we have every right to feel optimistic.
I’m surprised! Especially with the heavy links to Bissouma.Pretty sure its as a player
You sound like my crypto.Well, let's put it this way, we have every right to feel optimistic.
I agree that we do need a striker with Aguero butI don't think we will sign Ings at all.Completely agree. I think getting Haaland will be a very difficult ask, and don’t see Dortmund and City reaching agreement this summer. Also don’t see us breaking our recent transfer model to shell out over 100m on a player. I know it’s a deal for potentially 10+ years, but I think the club has pride in the fact it hasn’t actually distorted the market... that reputation is firmly deserved by the red halves of Manchester and Merseyside.
Ings has been mooted and I’m not sure how much to read into that, but I see that sort of transfer as more likely for now. Obviously Haaland would be the dream, but look at the impact Jota has had on Liverpool. Just need someone who can stick it in the net
I am trying to make my point as clear as possible. Plain and Simple they aren't going to let him go cheaply and CIty will still have to negotiate with Dortmund regardless of whether they had a chat with his Dad and Raiola or not. There is not ulterior motive with Watzke. He is looking after his own club's business. If I was a betting man I wouldn't be that confident with Haaland signing this summer. If they did miss out in qualifying for the Champions League then fair enough they would of been more willing to sell along with Sancho (who wanted out last summer).Ray, you have a habit of posting one thing then taking the next ten minutes editing that one post to death multiple times, so if one has read it and replied to it, it might look like crazy talk to anyone reading it an hour later. So God knows what it will look a minute from now
You are comparing apples and oranges with the Lewandowski situation. And you haven’t been listening to what Watzke is really saying underneath the surface.
City will let journalists know if we ever pull out of this transfer this summer. They don’t like being used in the media or for bargains with others. It hasn’t happened yet, in fact, the signs point in the other direction. Meanwhile, all the other clubs are putting themselves at a distance. Think about it.
You could argue that they were mental with Lewandowski. They weren't that bothered and still got their worth out of the player regardless of whether he wanted to sign for Bayern. We will see if he becomes a City player in the summer, and if I was a betting man I wouldn't be that confident at the moment. We would of had a better chance if they did miss out on the Champions League, and there are no real signs that Haaland is that unsettled at Dortmund.Dortmund could potentially bank over 200m in a summer where pretty much no one has anything to spend. It will help them for the next few years.
Unless Haaland decides to stay they would be mental to not sell.
Kin-ell fella, if we weren’t 9pts clear after the first game can you imagine the pelters we’d get :) that kind of spending would require a full squad overhaul, Sergio & Ferna both moving on, Jesus Raz & Mendy sold and maybe even one of Laporte & Ake, some fringe/loan players moved on like Harrison, that’s a lot of business in one summer!Perfect summer
Haaland - £100mil + £30mil add ons
Grealish - £60mil
Aouar - £25mil
Camavinga - £40mil (loan back and extended Dinho contract)
Mendes - £40mil + £10mil add ons
Can't see us spending £300mil but one can dream right
