But why. I mean judging by a lot of people on here this is a great season because we won two trophies. So why on earth would we change the team that won those?

What are we gonna change realistically? Our most expensive player is a DM who can’t be trusted to play a CL final. We can’t ship Mendy so we’ll still be weak at left back. We may sign a striker but today we created fuck all so a striker wouldn’t do much

Pep might be asking too much for one player. I love fernandinho but we got overrun in the midfield by Liverpool in the CL when he was at his peak, its not like we had everything sorted back in 2017/18.

Is there anyone who is big, fast, incredible on the ball against the press, creative, and also reads danger?

I genuinely can't name someone who has all of those attributes that Pep needs in the most important position in his side. Kimmich might be the closest but he's not *amazing* creatively.

It will never happen, but Casemiro is someone I always dreamed of seeing with Pep

For me we need:

A centre forward who is mobile, can finish and can play along the front 3....Haaland is this player...Kane isnt....Id rather have Matrinez than Kane

A wide player who adds something different....we have technical players will tons of ability but we need pace and ability to cross...Mahrez and Sterlings delivery is poor

The other key question is the defensive mid - Rodri has played mostly well...Ferna is superhuman but surely we are only getting one more year out of him at best and his game time will need to be managed....however Pep not starting Rodri esp creates questions on whether Pep believes he is good enough for the very very top level.

If we don't have any confidence in Rodri or Fernandinho, we need to go after a DM this summer, maybe the Grealish money should be used on Ndidi.

If Rodri does not play in a game like today and is behind a 36-year-old Dino in rotation then Rodri is not the solution. I also would not have extended the contract for Dino. Not because he is not worth it, but just need to move forward and think about the future. We desperately need a quality DM , a real engine in the midfield.
Rodri will not be sold and there is no point to keep 3 DM in the squad. We must find a successor to Fernandinho this summer in my opinion. In addition, left-back, winger and a striker.
