For me, it's not a choice of do we need a striker or not...we do.
Would kane improve us....yes
Would Haaland improve us..yes

But who improves us:
a) more
b) in the big games/moments

The answer for me to both of those is Haaland...he has the attitude, physicality and presence the finishing. He has more longevity than kane, no injury issues at all....more passion with at least some connection to the club whereas Kane is spurs through and through

Kane keeps us ticking over and winning domestically.....haaland improves us all around

With the DM situation......I've seen posts suggesting trust with either dino and rodri.....certainly in Dihno"s case it ain't about trust ..its game management time...he is 36. Rodri however is a strange one....at times he looks perfect but he goes through stages of looking wobbly and the end of this season it happened again a little..he is inconsistent.

Left back...for me, this is now Zinchenko's spot.....he is our left back....i dont think we will see another first choice lett back but maybe some understudy brought in IF anything ....but that relies on offloading mendy...and I dont think that happens unless we find a club who is extremely stupid!

The only other part of this summer is Messi. And that will be decided by him....to me with kun going there it looks like he may have been placated and he will probably stay but you never know.

Grealish for me doesnt bring anything we dont already have with Kdb, foden, bernardo mahrez and sterling.....unless one of those is off then I just dont see the point in him and personally i dont rate him

Is it time for the next tea m? You know a few significant changes right now. Only two or three but you have to keep changing. Hate to say it but Sir Purple Nose knew when to change it at the right time.

He never had to do it in a post pandemic market though fella. The players who people are on about being replaced are on massive money, it's going to be hard to shift a couple of them.

I hope we move swiftly now as surely the wheels will have been in motion for a while now regarding in and out players. No doubt we need a refresh in the squad and imo there could be a couple of big departures to make way for new arrivals. I also personally think the squad is too big and we over rotate just to give people game time? We should sell off all loan players ,trim the wage bill and seriously invest in world class this summer.

Just can't get my head around the Rodri/Dinho situation

Pep must not trust them, this was THE biggest game in our recent history and he didn't want either

Striker and now a DM have to be priorities if he doesn't think they're good enough

Seen a stat saying either one of the two has played 59/60 games, odd time to change it up, also Dinho being a leader on the pitch.

Anyway, after yesterday I'm sure there will be a big blood freshening in the summer because yesterday's game will be very painful for the players for a long time to come, besides Agüero some big names might leave imo, and might even be needed.

I think in the right system we are overwhelmed with enough creativity....Bernardo, KDB, Foden and even Gundo....4 players any team in the world would kill to have

Bernardo is creative but played out wide has always nullified him and him and Mahrez dont work that well together...

I agree sterlign was poor and has been most of the season but again he can do it......

Grelish can stick a decent cross in but thats about it...he is no better than what we have otherwise (and we have KDB to put crosses in when needed but we play with getting to the byline and cutting it back..something Sterling (Sane previoulsy) foden are all good at....this is the issue with Mahrez however always coming inside.....

So if Mahrez goes then we are swapping one in one out...thought Grealish isnt as skilfull as Mahrez but certainly has more fight in him

Well at least you touched on that at the end of your post. The point of the overhaul is to keep the spark and the hunger in the dressing room. Maybe we won’t always be able to replace current players with better ones but it is needed that those that come in bring enough to keep it moving in the right direction instead of stuck in complacency land

Next season won’t be anywhere as easy as this one. Chelsea, Liverpool and United will be strong title contenders and UCL contenders alongside other top European teams. We need to address maybe more than we initially thought in this window

I was labelled condescending and all sort of things for fighting those who insisted we could carry on the “false 9” train as the main thesis for the team, something that seemed utterly ridiculous to even be mentioned out loud. That is already unsustainable.

But give it two days and you’ll see again those same people insisting that we can go through a season with Torres and “give Delap a chance” and don’t need to bring X for DM or whatever position because we can give Y Academy kid a shot.

We are so close to the perfect squad we just need patience from us fans. Last night hurt, personally for me Pep lost it again, but the players were poor.

If we need to raise money I'd happily sell mahrez, sterling, mendy & laporte. All 3 can be replaced with better fitting players and laporte can be replaced by ake, thb to fill the other spot.
