Saul plays as a pivot now, he’s more defensive than attacking, aggressive in a tackle and wins the ball back a lot. But I don’t understand swapping a attacking player in Bernardo for a defensive one in Saul
Bernardo’s pretty much just used as a midfield engine for us these days anyway.
Saul would be more effective in the role that Pep predominantly has Bernardo playing because that’s what his skill set is actually catered for.
Bernardo’s been doing a job there for us and while he busts a gut game after game, he’s more than a midfield workhorse, but I don’t see him playing in another position in our side because of the other options we have ahead of him.
