I’m not in the same game as those two, never mind the same league - they have a finger on the pulse that I am no where near.

Mine is just an optimists view, and a clear understanding of the owners and how professional they are with everything they do.
Clearly clued up more than most on here though mate.

does he not look stupid though with the whole we can’t afford it comment if the club then spend £100m on a striker? No issue with saying we might not get one but mentioning we couldn’t afford it will seem foolish if/when the club record spend on one?
All he has to say is "at that time, there wasn't, and then one day, there was, now fuck off gimp".

Or maybe we are genuinely not interested at the valuations mentioned. The most obvious explanation is to accept that Pep is being truthful and upfront.
I’m surprised City fans have failed to notice that we have clear previous for setting a valuation and refusing to be budged. Yes it has meant we missed out on targets but it has given us credibility within the market place that we won’t be messed about or manipulated.

If we added a left back and another midfielder for next season I won't even be fussed, we have played a whole season without an out and out striker and done so well.

Maybe it's all nonsense, or maybe Pep rightfully does not want media talks of signing a player when a lot is still at stake this season.

Strikers weve been linked with stats this season, Andre Silva surprises me going under the radar.
