Dortmund need a reality check. Pre covid they could justifiably asked for £120 million but the majority of clubs are in financial trouble. The landscape has changed beyond recognition due to the virus and clubs don’t have that kind of money to be throwing about. If city deem £70 million plus Sancho fee and add on enough then we will rightly stand our ground.

I can see the cartel helping each other with this deal. He will prob end up at Barca on a ten year loan.

We are not a charity. The transfer fees had gone out of control. If they don’t like our offer fuck them. We will find an alternative.

Confused by Barcelona and to some extent Real being linked with Harland they should not be spending that sort of money given Covid and there debts

No way Barcelona are getting him unless Messi is going

Given the Aguero news we must have someone of real quality lined up unless we are going to get another left field signing and perhaps play more false 9 would still have to be a quality striker tho just less well known
Why wouldn't Real & Barca throw themselves in the hat??

All PR for thete millions of fans, they won't sign
No date yet for the premier league but France Germany and italy are allowed on July 1st to do transfers

Lovely bit of kidology from Pep. How to not have to answer any awkward Haaland questions for the next few weeks.
Absalutely holding off while we have big big games ahead, we need everyone focused while Tixi & Co look after all the other shit

Deals like Haaland don't get done in a couple of weeks City have played there cards imo & just need some shuffling to be done

Fuck Spain they cant spend jack shit, Bayern arnt in the frame & UTD& Chelsea I don't see them either at the table otherwise the wankers would be allover it

This is City v Dortmund I'm 100% sure of it, Raola will get the best for everyone that's how he plays money from Dortmund, City & Haaland himself

Wonder how things will go in the VIP lounge next week v Dortmund

He has a 65m euro buyout clause next summer. I'm not sure 150m is 'justifiable' Covid or other wise?

Pep deflects all talk of Haaland and focus on current squad

We end up winning trophies

Then we sign Haaland and Pep says Sheikh Mansour found another billion down another sofa he had in his spare palace that he never checked previously

Happy Days

Mr Guardiola, are you interested in this vehicle? Yes, and I have lots of cash to spend so please just name your price. #hownottodobusiness.

Not according to the BBC report. He said we can’t afford it. That makes us look smalltime, whereas the Utd and Chelsea managers just said they wouldn’t talk about him as he’s not their player. Much better if Pep just said the same.

Now we have more negative headlines about us not being able to afford a new striker. Not the best image for a club of our stature.
Its important to take all what he said not just "we will not afford it"
"Listen, with these prices, we are not going to buy any striker," Guardiola said.
"It’s impossible. We will not afford it. That is not going to happen. All the clubs struggle financially. We are not an exception.

I speculate Pep is now absolutely aware of what Mino said to the Barca chaps behind closed doors and it implied we have buckets loads of cash and are desperate for Erling.....

I think we are going to have to prepare for some major media games over the next 3-4 months, Remember Pogba going to United a few years back.

We are going to see Raiola play a lot of games in the press and the media.

This is only the beginning, I would love for City just to wrap it up quick, but that doesn't look like it will be the case.

united and liverpool and spains big 2 are pot less so forget them. we are playing very good game of wait and see
why should manchester city keep founding the football world when they all hate us ? if the transfer market is on its arse then city will do well in spending at a cut price

Disgraceful comment. What kind of fucking reality do you live in that an unwillingness to spend 150 mil on one player is small time? There's literally two transfers in history more than which cost more than 150 mil - Mbappe and Neymar, both by PSG. Guess Madrid, Juventus, Barca are little clubs. In fact, Bayern must be the smallest club of all time considering they rarely ever spend big.

I know i shouldn't judge people based on comments on a bloody forum, but I cannot understand the people who whinge about fucking image, stature, class or some other posh bullshit. Screams insecurity.

Come on pal, you know we can afford it, he knows it, the journos know it. He was asked about replacing Aguero wasn't he? Not a specific striker?
