Yes, he cares about getting a return but the desired return may be in the form of trophies won and Kane, as a proven goal machine in the PL, would almost guarantee that.

Manchester City’s record signing is Mahrez at £67.5 million (I think is the correct figure). The list of players we have pulled out of deals for because it got too rich is huge. Hazard, Sanchez, Mbappe, Van Dijk, Fred to name a few. Apart from FFP which still has a status, there will be the court of public opinion on any club spending £100 million plus on a single player. There just isn’t that much money around in football anymore. The clubs that pay that sort of money traditionally (Barcelona, Real Madrid, The Scum, Scouse Scum) are not in the same position. It’s a buyers market. Prices will drop right down the food chain purely to get wages off the books. Whilst Levy might want to ignore Coronavirus and think clubs will pay that money for a player with a history of injuries, reality will eventually invade his world.

I find bit amusing how everyone is rounding their price to 150 millions and covid is still alive and kicking .
Theres a transfer saga and levy saga.

We will be just fine if no one comes this summer. As for rotation and freshness of the squad every season which every team has to do every season to keep moving and going foreward we have ferran playing as a CF. foden, Ake and laporte more involvement in the first team and delap coming form academy. May be doyle getting more chances.
We will do wonders.

Don’t think so, we need a striker to replace aguero, when we didn’t replace kompany it showed the next season, rags will add sancho, Chelsea will add Lukaku, Liverpool will add to their squad. Etc, Delap Is brilliant but still young, pep just does not throw youngsters in their brought in gradually example Foden.

As a club that’s won the premier league this season you cant put all your faith in an academy prospect or winger turned striker to get 15 to 25 goals in the league next season. Can’t play the false 9 all the time either managers will find you out.

adding a Kane/Haaland lays down a mark saying we are not going to just sit back and let our rivals strengthen. We can get better to.
