Even if Barca want sterling and laporte, how are they planning to sign them? They’re skint and all this talk of a player + cash deal is great... but who honestly could they possibly offer us that would get anywhere near our side?

Pep already said several times he will never go back as manager.

The thought that Soriano and Txiki are also working for Barcelona somehow is beyond fùcking stupid.

It is just bòllocks stories being made up on various social media for a club who are virtually broke and can’t afford free transfers they have been chasing all last season, but somehow we are going to give our players away to them, all who are under contract.

I can't see us coming up to 150 though, as we have seen over the past couple of years.

We like to stick to the price we have in mind, gone are the days of us just coughing up the quote and paying retail.

We saw it with Koulibaly last summer where we walked away, and we saw it the year before with Maguire. Even with Pogba 5 years ago.
 
Know nowt's on twitter = the shit out of the devil's arsehole. Barcelona want half our players apparently, not sure what currency they are thinking Barcelona will be paying in, I don't want to break it to them, but monopoly money isn't a real currency.

Logically, I agree. Just find it strange there's been so many reports given their finances and the players they have. Genuinely hope we don't value any of their deadwood. I know we laugh at the idea at City being bad at selling but any outgoing transfer to Barca would take that to another level.
 
I wonder if there is a bigger play going on with barca being linked to so many of our players.
No idea what but I've never seen 1 team get linked with so many players of another team within a few days before.

I got called a drama queen for daring to suggest that Pep has a clear emotional conflict of interest with City & Barcelona.

He was a wanker when Aguero was here, stirring shit and arguing with fans who dared say Serge was even slightly past it and now he’s linking every player under the sun to Barca.

He’s Laporte’s mouthpiece too so all the recent ‘leaks’ about his future will be via him too.
 
Gundogen only seems to really thrive in the team when Kev is not in it. He's not a defensive midfielder as he doesn't have the legs to cover the ground needed. Mahrez still could play here for a few seasons, but he's pushing on age-wise for a winger. Both could stay, but both could also leave and be replaced with younger more dynamic models. Imo we need legs in the middle of the park and I think Pep is planning to mold Grealish into a central player that floats, rather than a winger.
