Not sure barca offering us a packet of opal fruits and half a loaf of bimbo bread is going to be enough for grealish
I’ve heard that Barcelona president Joan Laporta, has been seen buying a bag of magic beans at the Boqueria Market.
Maybe he’s hoping to exchange said beans for a number of our players.

I can just imagine Sheikh Mansour, and Khaldoon, rubbing their hands whilst dancing around the palace in uncontrollable excitement. Chanting magic beans, magic beans, magic beans!

Can’t remember a summer there was so much uncertainty around so many players at our club.

Bernardo wants out
Laporte wants out
sterling 2 years left if Doesn’t sign new contract we will look to sell
gundogan rumours Barca have talked to his agent
mahrez same rumours Barca have talked to his agent
fern still not signed or left
jesus apparently unhappy with playing time
aguero gone

Obviously we won’t lose all of the above but I can’t remember last time we had so many player seemingly open to leaving.

The door swings both ways though, because for anyone who wants to leave, there would be plenty wanting to come and fill those spaces.

I know money talks but I very much doubt Mahrez would go for that idea.

He goes on in interviews about Leicester taking a couple of years away from him at the top level.

He holds himself in high regard so I doubt he would join them at the start of their journey even if we wanted him out.
Recently said he's very happy here. One of our better players last season so hope he stays.

The rules do allow wiggle room for new owners.

They also aren't in Europe, so wouldn't be assessed straight away.

We can't underestimate Saudi investment, certainly when it comes to buying the next tier of player to make them competitive.
I agree it can’t be ignored, and it will improve them immensely from where they are now. Just will be a lot harder.

The scrutiny they get, will be far greater for obvious reasons
Some proper shite talked on this forum, Newcastle may well be taken over by the Saudis but under the current financial regulations they won’t be spending like a Harpurhey lottery winner in a brass house those days are well over!

Saul plays as a pivot now, he’s more defensive than attacking, aggressive in a tackle and wins the ball back a lot. But I don’t understand swapping a attacking player in Bernardo for a defensive one in Saul

He a Box-to-Box midfielder by trade by Simone uses him as a defensive midfielder. Pep would play him as a central midfielder alongside KDB

Can't blame Newcastle. They know dealing with Abu Dhabi will be relatively straight forward and they are just seeing what could be available.

I could imagine someone like Mahrez being an absolute icon up there.

If the Saudis suddenly said to Riyad at the age of 30, sign for us and we will pay you £350k a week, then could see him snapping an arm or two off?

Especially so, if they come at City for £70m?

Can't see Mrs Mahrez wanting to go and live among the Geordies.

The tears when Saudi takes over Newcastle. Some legit concerning reasons too.

But Damn

Its a new world order. Arsenal and Spurs are being replaced by Villa and Leicester, United are going to need to wake up pretty quick if they don't want to be the next on the block.

The Premier League is getting stronger and stronger, the entire top 10 is made up of teams who want to be in the CL.

5 years like this and we'll be the superleague, no breakaway required.

Because we want to sign Grealish?

You would have to change formation for Saul he can’t play as a single Pivot, he needs someone next to him. It would have to be a Rodri and Saul pivot. If we get him, Sauls a brilliant ball winner would upgrade our midfield but he can’t play as a single pivot.

Good Morning guys,

So I woke up and saw on twitter that Barcelona are negotiating with Mahrez & Gundogan while Bernado is willing to leave.

What a wonderful day !

yeah agree. Must admit not worried as I felt the squad need a freshening up tbh. Always good to get new hungry players through the door. Just surprised me how many have seemingly itchy feet
