Are you still hopeful about Messi Tolm? I just presumed that after what Pep said on the final day that that was the end of that

Hope, that's the operative word.

I was assured by someone at City that Messi had not agreed a new deal at Barca before he left for Copa, which is why they weren't shouting it from the rooftops.

It's a deal which has always been treated in isolation by City, but Laporta's comments tonight have basically confirmed they are still waiting on him.

As I said the other day, how the hell does someone like Messi risk serious injury at the Copa, just two weeks before he becomes a free agent and has no insurance policy to fall back on?

He's clearly using the timeline for an end game, whether that is to extract more cash from Barca ( why would he when he knows they are broke? ) or he actually needs to wait until he becomes a free agent to clarify his future.

It's a nice side dish to have on top of working on Grealish and Kane.

Apologies my fellow Moss Sider...

I'm pretty certain our iron remains in the fire for Messi.

Still confident on Grealish.

Kane has had a lot of smoke signals and that makes me suspicious, certainly just because him or Haaland are being played off against each other by City.
Do you think the Kane stuff could be us calling the Haaland camps bluff on some details?

I feel like the swap deal stuff coming out or Barcelona is too consistent and too specific and is lingering too long for it to be just media shit. Laporta talking about swaps today as well.

I keep thinking maybe Barcelona are anticipating they come into €60m a year in their budget.

Or they are trying to convince a certain someone they are going bring more good players in this season and he should stick around.

I understand why we might play Kane and Haaland off against each other but do you think we a replaying a dangerous game doing that.......we could lose out on one or both as they may take offence to it....you know how delicate footballers egos are (and agents)

Messi would be a dream but Haaland and Messi would just put so much doubt into teams before they even set foot on the pitch (along with the likes of KDB, Foden etc also running at them)

Just a reminder Inter want €80m for Hakimi and will probably get around 90% of that value.

Also a reminder that Varane maybe out of Real Madrid , has ome year left on contract and Real Madrid want €60m for him and will get it.

Also a reminder that Brighton rejected a €47m bid if Arsenal for White and probably will end up getting more ~€55m.

Any deal below €70/€75m straight cash will be another feather in Txikis cap when it comes to sales

Just a reminder that we haven't done any business in this window yet so maybe wait until we have before you assess what Txiki has or hasn't done

Yes but bernardo is reportedly pressuring us for a quick move...that's our hand considerably weaker if true. The same could yet happen with laporte.
