Sorry, Neymar aside, I don't remember people talking about any of those as the next messi/ronaldo level of player. The next Ibrahimovic maybe, at best, even then, more than half of those not even that.

To some extent you are largely right, another kid could break onto the scene any point. Might even be delap, who knows. Doesn't change the fact that what Mbappe and Haaland are doing now and how quickly they have got there from a young stage is way above anyone else.

You are arguably right, but that doesn't stop them improving us. Kane is better than a player who barely featured last season and doesn't play for us any more.

Its like saying Walker didn't improve us because he wasn't as good as prime Zabba, or Dias didn't improve us because he wasn't as good as prime Kompany.

As ove said before...its not about replacing Aguero of last season...nearly anyone would be better than a player that hardly played....its about replacing the Aguero of the previous 7-9 seasons.

Walker has been better than Zabba in my opinion and Dias could be as good as Kompany (but has to prove it over a long long period and there is a long way to go for that to happen but his impact has been huge at present).

We are already clear odds-on favourites to win the title before either/both of Kane and Grealish

Liverpool and Chelsea about 4s and United 7s.

We'll be starting Odds on Favorites no matter which teams sign whatever players. Even if Chelsea sign Erling & the Rags sign Kane & Grealish. The only question is how short will we start if it's us who end up signing One or two of these players.

That list of players were also some of the best in the world at given points. You'd be thrilled if your random dime a dozen "wonderkids" turned into any of those guys.

Mbappe and Haaland won’t be Messi or Ronaldo level either. Those two are unique especially to do what they have done over such a long period. The fact both played at the same time is just freakish.
So yes Ibrahimovic is probably a more normal level to compare players to and at any one time there will be a handfull of players in that conversation. So it’s quite likely over the next few years another player or two will come and challenge Mbappe and Haaland. Besides Haaland and maybe Mbappe to a lesser extent are still prospects, good ones but they aren’t established greats yet.

Why are you continuing with your drivel making comparisons with Sergio and Kane.Two different types of players and Sergio will not be bettered at City for decades.
However in terms of a proven PL striker hardly anyone else comes near Kane.
