Same how we did Rodri. Atletico did not want him to go but were powerless once the clause had been payed. All we did was agree terms with Rodri same could happen with Haaland.

Does it kick in in Jan? I assume he can sign a pre contract with another club then but what makes you think he is free to move then?

He has similarities to Merlin, incredibly hard to get the ball of him, has a brilliant eye for a pass. Good under pressure etc. Draws players to him. Fans thought Foden would be the Silva replacement but I think it’s Grealish he’s really similar to David Silva, Foden more of an Iniesta

My thoughts exactly. The Kane and Ronaldo debacles have taken it out of me - I'm not holding on to any hope that we've somehow managed to box everything off with Raiola/Alfie/Erling in such a short space of time. At all.

The release cause would just kick off the bidding war. It doesnt mean we can just agree to pay it and hes ours
