Your position is unclear. You say that your position will come automatically to the conclusion if.
Few lines later, you state I might have a problem with Adu's contract.

The US is not part of the EU but still part of what it is called the first world. The US is usually acclaimed as the poster child for democracy and civil/human rights.

The time to research it?
-copy "freedy adu first professional contract" (two seconds)
-open browser on google (five seconds)
-paste "freddy adu first professional contract" (two seconds)
-click research button, wait for answer (one second)
Read headers.

Ten seconds research, less it took you to write your previous message.

The inclination, it is more understandable as you dont want to repeat your conclusion on a country like the US which would certainly weaken your point of view.
Are you incapable of grasping a simple concept? You brought Freddy Adu up, so YOU tell me about it. As I said, if (I really don't understand what other word I'm meant to use instead of 'if' as I don't know the ins and outs of his case) he was legally binded to a contract he signed as a 13 year old child, then the US is as backwards as France. My position is about as clear cut as it could possibly be.

And I certainly don't view the US as "the poster child for democracy and civil/human rights". In fact, I find the idea laughable. As such, I have absolutely no problem in lambasting the US, as I have done 3 times already now. But apparently I'm still being unclear on the matter.

This is the whole arguement, and those teams should be compensated.

He is dodging the fact that the french like to force contracts on 13 year old's to stop anyone signing them. If that is not morally wrong I don't know what is.

Perhaps the prospect of a talented youngster being marooned in the French leagues is so unpalatable that kids are jumping ship with alarming frequency?

Are these abhorent pre-majority contracts the last desperate act of a footballing federation and group of clubs to hide their own mediocre at best facilities, coaches and clubs?

Look at Henry who only developed when he landed at Arseanal and his French coach had the resources to create a great player.

Or Ribery who has developed into the player he is in Germany.

Perhaps the glorious French model is the problem here (masked by one great team who won teh World Cup and European Champs) and if French and African kids want out who are they to stop that choice.

Vive la difference

Just had Mr Hughes on SSN, City have taken the appropriate legal advise and this has led them to believe that City are not and have not acted unlawfully..The dispute was already ongoing with Rennes and Helan before City approached..

Not only has Hughes said "comfortable" in 27 consecutive interviews, but Sky Sports have also done a sub-heading entitled "comfortable"!

Has anyone ever noticed the different type of images that BBC/Sky use?

For example: I've noticed that the Beeb will often use pictures that look the most ridiculous, usually a stupid face or action. e.g. 1

Where as Sky, will often use pictures where it looks like the subject is about to tear someone a new arsehole. e.g.2
