its a really poor comparision i know but its the difference between brandon barker who seems to turn it on when he feels like bothering and jack bryne who turns it on.
The attitudes of the two do seem miles apart, but I also tend to think Jack is an exception in regards to his - from a desire aspect.....Joey Barton is a good comparison.

Brandon definitely needs an injection of positivity/enthusiasm though - he risks wasting a God given talent otherwise.

Jack is my type of player, a Nicky Reid type in as much as you know he wont shirk a challenge and will sweat blood for the cause, aligned with his great technical ability and with a degree of the much needed luck i could see him pushing for and holding down an important berth in our squad, which would be a great achievement

joey is a good example minus the recklessness 8-)

My hope for our academy players is that even if they don't make the grade at City, that they can go on and be successful somewhere, giving us a tidy sum in the transfer market and being able to say we developed that player.

I'd love if Jack could make it at City, but if he doesn't it appears he will still have a successful career somewhere, maybe even for a mid-table side in England.

Playing in an awful Cambuur side v Ajax. Best player on the pitch imo. Commentators said he's miles ahead of the others on the Cambuur team & outshone Bazoer, the Ajax kid we've been linked with.

Some of his first time passing was DeBruyne-like. He really is coming on excellently. Looks stronger physically & very sharp mentally. On that showing he is sharper right now, than Silva in his current form, seeing passes much faster. Whether he has it in him to be at the same level as Silva at his best, we have to wait & see, but he already takes a better corner & free kick.

If he keeps up that level, he must surely be good enough to at very least be a squad player. The side he's playing in is truly awful & he's still able to cause problems.

All he has to do, is keep it going & Pep will like what he sees.

Somehow, I have come to wish City don't buy any young players this summer. Buy senior players to replace obvious ones. Give our own young ones a chance instead of buying potential.

Chuffed for Byrne. He looks brilliant at the moment. His attitude is unbelievable - how many kids would be willing to go to a country they don't know and force their way in and actually be the best player? He fears no one and he's one of the most in-form players in the whole of the Eredivise at the moment which is monumentally impressive. He couldn't be doing anymore.
