He's one of the players I've seen the least of (live) but watching that video I like what I see.

It's only youtube but a couple of things that stand out are his vision and technique. Both attributes needed for a Guardiola team.

He reminds me of Wilshere in a lot of (good)ways.

Given the players that will be arriving under Pep,it will be an almost impossible task to break into our first team, however, while I know nothing about the length of his contract,he's not 20 until the end of the month so still plenty of time to further develop and impress.
A premiership loan would be fantastic but even a Championship move would be of great benefit IMO.

When you look at the midfield Pep has now, it should be impossible for a youth team player to break through, but despite the presence of World class midfielders, pep has still played Kimmich, Gaudino, Weiser and Højbjerg a reasonable amount over the past 2 years.

So establishing a starting spot will be difficult but he should get his chance at least.

And at Barca too of course, he used loads of players to supplement the squad.

One advantage Jack Byrne has is his obvious self belief. I think perhaps one or two, like Barker for instance, need a bit of extra encouragement to bring them through, & get them show what they can do, but Jack wants to ram it down people's throats, which isn't a bad thing imo.

I think Jack will be a international player and sooner than we think. As for next season I be interested to see what Pep thinks of him. He could be a player to hold onto and save us millions of pounds. I honestly think another season out on loan in a bigger Dutch team will benefit him more than playing in the championship. Or try and get him into a Bourmouth team that plays football. Jack is so full of confidence and playing a year of first team regular football has put him ahead of so many players at the club already who are on the fringes. Just a matter of time to see how far he will go.

I think he might be one to keep in the squad next year not send out on loan. Pep loves players who look after the ball and Jack definitely does that, so any sort of injury situation or cup game and I think Pep would see him as a Low risk academy player - keep the ball and you can't do too badly in a pep team.

Keeping him in the squad gives him the benefit of training with Pep, doing the rondos, learning the positioning based style of play.

The problem is he'll likely see less game time, but it would be game time with us, that would advance his chances of a City career much more than a loan.

i would like to see him at a higher dutch club as for the type of player jack is i think the eredivisie is a very good development ground for that type of player.

with the stats he is getting he may well have the offers.

i am not convinced he will get game time in the premier league on loan because with the new tv deal most if not all premier league teams can now go out and buy the finished article that is of a very good quality. you only have to look at west ham and payet.

I didn't see a huge competition to sign Payet though.

He's more of an example of a player getting a chance & showing he can rise to the required level imo. Which is what also often happens with a percentage of young players when enough are given an opportunity.

i`ve thought this kid would make the big time from the first day i saw him play about two years ago. to make it you need bravery exception skill and duracel bunny type work ethic, jack has the lot
He very much wears his heart on his sleeve too,he has so much enthusiasm and positivity......his desire to realise his dream leaks from his every pore.
