Chuffed for Byrne. He looks brilliant at the moment. His attitude is unbelievable - how many kids would be willing to go to a country they don't know and force their way in and actually be the best player? He fears no one and he's one of the most in-form players in the whole of the Eredivise at the moment which is monumentally impressive. He couldn't be doing anymore.

Remember this isn't the first time Byrne has moved to a foreign country on his own to further his career. if you can do it at 15, I'm not surprised he's handled it so well at 19.

Not to belittle what he's done - his progress at Cambuur since about November has been incredible.

It would be great to see him in the squad next year.

I love the progress Byrne has made and he will undoubtedly get a look in the pre-season. With that said another loan to a CL quality club won't be the worst thing for his development.

What a great article about Jack. There would be few young players who have such a fierce determination to succeed, forged through the hardship of the loss of his father, and a commitment to maximise his football gifts.

There will come a day when Jack gets a chance to showcase his skills at a high level. Whether it is with City is hard to say. What is certain is that when that day comes you can be sure that he will not be intimidated by the occasion.

Like the look of him. You'd assume he's a Barca product the way he plays.

Think he could be part of the squad alongside Denayer and Kalechi next season.

1 of the Garcias potentially too. The fact that, with Byrne, that'd be 3 midfielders I could only see 1 (probably Aleix due to his position) at most, otherwise they'd be playing EDS most of the time when a Byrne-like loan would be better
