which has me doubting the validity tbh.
You’d expect a lot more noise from the media if it’s as far gone as being portrayed.

That’s not true though is it.

He might not be an upgrade on what we have but he certainly holds his own when compared to the likes of Foden, Bernardo and Gundogan.

I’d also take him in a wide forward position over Torres and Jesus as well.

If you feel he holds a candle to those players, you won’t see me arguing, it’s your opinion, so rather than state ‘that’s not true’, remember I’m not attacking your family, your bezzy mate, it’s my opinion, got it, skippy? Good lad

He isn’t better than Jesus, or the player Torres will be as a front 3 player.He isnt better than KDB, Foden or Bernardo. He’s better than Sterlings current form but not the best Sterling and he isn’t better than Mahrez currently. Doesn’t mean he’s not a good player ,he is , just not what we need for what he’d cost.
I’d love to be able to fit him in just the more I try and see how the less likely it seems.

‘That’s not true’ is a polite way of saying that I disagree with you.

No need to be so defensive.

The post I responded to was someone saying he isn’t “remotely good enough” to play for us.

I simply disagree. His stats speak for themselves and in the right team his game will go up another level.

Arguing that he isn’t what we need is a different argument all together.

As is me stating you’re entitled to your opinion, however, no offence was meant so apologies, you merely like a different gravy to myself!

It’s all good, no offence was taken.

I can see how my initial post may have appeared a little condescending, it’s difficult to judge the tone by simply reading the words.
