Jack Grealish

He's a good player but for some reason, it just doesn't feel like a signing we'd make.

Besides, we already have 4 players (Sterling, Foden, Torres, Jesus) who can play on the left.

If we sign Grealish, we'd have to sell one and I can't see any of those leaving.
Well, hes better than 3 of the above so if we have an opportunity to upgrade?.

Maybe could win a few games with that.

So? It's only the natural position of maybe one of them. Foden can play anywhere in the frontline and in midfield, Ferràn can play the front line, Sterling can play on either wing and can fill in up top and Jesus is a striker who can play on both sides. We have more players that can play on the right (Mahrez, Bernardo, Sterling, Ferrán, Foden, Jesus +).

We have 8 + players who can play up front. Does that mean we shouldn't sign a striker?
Agüero, Jesus, Delap, Sterling, Ferrán, de Bruyne, Bernardo, Foden.

Maybe but I'm not sure it would be enough of an upgrade to justify spending the 80m or so that Villa would want for him, especially if we're going to be spending more than that on Haaland.

There’s a difference between doing it at a club like Villa and doing it for City.

The worrying thing is that he hasn’t even been that good for Villa in the 2nd half of the season. He had a great start but faded away the last several months.

To be fair there isn't a lot he can do from the treatment room.

His form had dropped off long before then smart arse.

Great talent, but he does have big down periods where his form dramatically drops off.

I’m not convinced he’d really improve us overall.

He's missed the last 5 games through injury and got an assist or goal in 4 of the previous 6 games!

Hey now no need for that I wasn't trying to be rude lol.
I actually didn't realise his form had dropped before the injury and thought it was possible that you had assumed his lack of activity (goals/assists) was down to form not injury.

Maybe, just maybe, it's a huge ploy from us to drive his price up for United?

Seems like we might be going big on Haaland, so I highly doubt we could afford both at £100m+ each.

United seemingly accept that they can't get Haaland so were possibly banking on Grealish being their big signing. We may be trying to price them out or at least raise the fee.

If not, I'd be happy with him in our squad I think he's quality.
