Jack Grealish

Guardiola was asked about Grealish:

He said then: "He’s incredible. A top player. I’m happy he stayed in the Championship to defend his club when he could have gone.

"He’s a talented player who always creates something. (Grealish) is an exceptional player but too expensive for Manchester!"

You should look up what he said about Nathan Redmond 3 years ago.

I doubt he'd be a klopp player either, I'm not sure what he actually is, is he attacking midfield, striker, winger, seemed more like defensive midfield today though ;-)

You are correct that he won't last 5 minutes in Klopp's amazing team but stranger things have happened.

He'd be perfect for United and he'd make them better. He has the arrogance they need, and the demand to have the ball all the time. Plus they've not had a decent #10 for 5 years.

Doesn't sound like they'll get him though, I wouldn't be surprised if he gets Zaha'd and stuck at Villa.
Him or James Madisson would be perfect for them. Looks like they're getting Bruno Fernandes though. I haven't watched a lot of him (only highlights when we were linked to him in the summer), but I know for sure he's a caliber above them. Only thing is that he's maybe too direct for them.

They're probably in more need of a "David Silva" playmaker/engine like Maddison, that can keep possession and play key passes rather than a more direct "KDB" type of player like Fernandes. Too bad United don't have a director of football that can see stuff like this, and instead let the incompetent Ed Woodward sign players lol.

Grealish would be much better than Maddison for United IMO. Grealish has carried Villa for 4 years, he can take the weight of being the one guy who can do something good, the guy who has to score and create 75% of the goals, and he thrives off it.

That's what United need, someone who will shoulder the responsibility in big games and has the arrogance to think he can do it at a top side in big games. Maddison is just doing quite well in a team with 4 or 5 other stars, with 3 or 4 other creative players, he's not really running anything, he's not shining above the rest of Leicester's players.

I hear what you're saying but I don't agree wholeheartedly. They're very different players. Maddison would be great because he's a better passer and have great vision that would really unlock Martial and Rashford. However Grealish would definitely smoothen the transition in United's counter attacking football, given that he's more of a dribbling playmaker. Grealish would also attract a lot of attention from defenders which would free up Rashford and Martial. It's very much a matter of taste and preference. Either would improve United by a large margin that's for sure.

Actually Klopp has a thing for these type of players - Chamberlain, Winjaldum,Milner, Lallana. I am not saying he signed all of these players but he kind of likes it when his players can put a shift in at various positions.

Didn't they buy Poogba with that thought in mind?
