I like him a lot. But this team needs an injection of pace. At the minute we've far too many inverted options and its slowing us down.
Maybe it will be a yes in July then. It's Weds 1st June and its still a NO on greasy jack !
Let's hope not ! We don't need that look at me with my socks down, what a cool guy am I with this stupid haircut show pony .Maybe it will be a yes in July then.
Better to be thought of as good & fouled than to be allowed space to play and prove that thought wrong. For me, he is looking like our best option to replace Sane. He is the most fouled player in the league for a reason, and it isn’t down to Salah-like persistent diving. Much like Zaha, everyone knows that he is Villa’s only real threat. Take care of him and you nullify Villa’s attacking threat. So he gets marked out of the game and kicked about.
He protects the ball very well and glides about the pitch. He is quick to turn and he isn’t exactly slow on the sprint. Whenever I see Villa play, he is always the one trying to drive his team forward. I’d snap him up for anything under £50m. I very much doubt that he’d disappoint at that price point.
I’d certainly much rather sign Grealish than drop silly money on a one-trick pony like Adama Traore.
Couldn't care less about any of that myself, only whethe Pep thinks he'll make us better, would be my 2nd choice after Harvetz personally with Sancho close 3rd.Let's hope not ! We don't need that look at me with my socks down, what a cool guy am I with this stupid haircut show pony .
This all day for me.Grealish is one of those players who you absolutely hate when he plays for a rival team. But then you love him once he's yours. He would piss off so many away fans it's unbelievable. He would be a modern prototype of Delph. A c**t but modern. Delph was an old-school c**t.
I'd take him. No worse than Gundo. Plus we need English players if Stones is sold.
This all day for me.
Imagine Foden, Grealish with Kev holding in a couple of years as he could do that easy spraying balls around like Pirlo.
Grealish we all slag off but he can play & we know it.
It's the same when Spurs are in town we all fucking hate Ali but he can do some damage on his day
Better to be thought of as good & fouled than to be allowed space to play and prove that thought wrong.
Not for me, I'd like a winger with pace and Doyle to have a pop at the 5/6th midfield option.
I would buy Cantwell from Norwich. Pep would get more out of Cantwell than Grealish.
Grealish @ Villa is like Yaya @ City and thats not a comparison of quality, merely he has
become the go to player to pass out to from the defensive line. As he plays for Villa, he
gets lots of time on the ball to carry it a longway without being pressed as teams know
they just need to manage Grealish and not let him drive thru an open midfield. So they
let him walk it up to the two banks of defensive lines, then it becomes more crowded
and his options more limited. He is a good footballer that gets lots of opportunities in
a poor side to show his OK skillset. Hes like a South American fullback with a youtube
video showing his three spectacular freekick goals in top corner from x40 yards but it
doesnt show the x500 off target ones as he takes all of the free kicks.
If Grealish played for Liverpool & Gundog played for Villa wed be trying to sign Gundog
Id buy Cantwell.
We may need it to a bit, if we go into next season with KDB, Bernardo and Foden for the 2 attacking positions and just Mahrez and Sterling wide, it would be too many games especially if one got injured so a player like Grealish that can do both would be ideal.I've being saying this on here since about 3 games into the season, but have never had a single bite.
Cantwell is every inch a "Pep player". Really good football brain, lovely touch, great movement, knows how to weight a ball brilliantly.
He stands out like a sore thumb in that Norwich team as he is several steps ahead of the rest of the team in his head.
Would be exciting as fuck in our team.
However, as with Grealish, I would only take him if it didn't fuck with Foden's game time.
The next Stephen Ireland if he were to join, no thanks
One of the worst I've seen. How he didn't get carded for that is beyond me.I have heard he is heading for Manchester
He's got a part in Corrie on the back of that dive against Palace!
