Jack Grealish

Fair enough. While I believe Grealish can be the successor to Kev, there is also acceptance that sometimes players can't be fully replaced, so yoy buy the next best thing.

Re a defensive midfielder. Bellingham really impressed me but quite a few people in the academy are adamant that Romeo Lavia will be knocking on the door very soon and has world class attributes.

Sounds incredible and only 17!!
I've said it many times in 18 months 2 years time Kev will drop back into HM, he will do that role easily for a couple more years.

I also get where you're coming from with regards to strengthening when we're on top but players like Kane and Haaland are a direct squad improvement, whereas Grealish isn't.
See, it’s quotes like this that I get exasperated at. I understand that it’s your opinion, but believe me if you gauge the thoughts and opinions of a huge audience then I guarantee the majority would side on Grealish as being a squad improvement.

We‘ve had lots of discussion about the seasons that Bernie, Gundo, Raz, Jesus, Mahrez have had, and the seasons they’ve had over the last few years too, and in MY OPINION Grealish is better than all the ones listed and would in our team prove it relatively quickly.

Opinions, like aresholes as we know, but I go with a majority in these cases. Oh, and Pep agrees too, lol, and I like his opinion...

I put on here yesterday saw that fear face to face, with a Chelsea fan down the gym. When I even mentioned Kane and Grealish, he came out with that we are turning the league into the bundesliga and that there is no point challenging. Said we were taking the fun out of football to. He was really confident to that they were winning the league next season. All I did was mention those two names and the confidence just left. Admitting defeat before a ball has been kicked.
You should have reminded him how much Chelsea spent on Werner, Havertz, Mendy and bloody Chilwell in the last 12 months or so!! Not to mention the fact that they already had the world's most expensive goalie in Kepa.

Pep agrees that Jack Grealish is a better player than Bernardo Silva, Ilkay Gundogan, Raheem Sterling, Gabriel Jesus and Riyad Mahrez? Not sure about that one, mate.

I'm not saying you're wrong, I'm just saying I disagree and that's cool but please don't make me laugh with that majority opinion nonsense.

Pep agrees he’d improve our squad, which wasn’t too difficult to understand.

Looking at our possible attack/midfield on Saturday

Dinho/Rodri
Bernardo Gundogan
Mahrez KDB Foden

I know we play a lot of games but there's Torres, Sterling, Jesus will be on the bench and taking into account we're after a striker I just don't see the need for him(I do think he's quality btw)

Can only mean someone on that list wants out surely

Recommend to us by vinnie also

This place is really funny btw. We have those saying Grealish would play as a holding midfielder and those saying kevin would play as holding midfielder in 18 months just because they want us to sign Grealish and believe he would take us to the “next level”. Grealish is a ball carrier and dribbler like Mahrez, not a better finisher so what exactly does he bring that takes us to the “next level”. We saw in the match against Everton how a runner can be important because Kdb made some good through balls that raheem wasted.

I don’t think anyone doubts his abilities but the reality is we can’t keep adding talent to the squad, I personally don’t think it is even worth replacing Sterling with Grealish. You guys have to remember we have had 9 substitutes this season and there have been some matches where pep left some players at home and said the reason is tactical reasons or they were not fully fit. Normal subs is 7 so people are not going to be happy, yes I know we have been lucky this season with injuries.
