I think there are plenty of examples of fans turning on players but I think fans usually stay loyal to their football clubsThere are plenty of examples of loyalty in football outside of a club's fanbase. Equally, there are just as many examples of disloyalty on the side of supporters.
Grealish is a Villa fan though. It’s like Foden staying and remaining patient at City whilst Diaz and Sancho fucked off to “better” their own careers. It’s exactly my point. For instance, would you not agree Grealish has shown plenty of loyalty to Villa? That's just one example I can think of which also conveniently keeps this on topic.
Sterling has no more loyalty towards City than he had to Liverpool than he had to QPR. If he was in the form of his life, he’d probably continue to cast coquettish glances towards Madrid like he did in Feb/March last year when everything he touched found the back of the net. Unlike some fans, I have no issue with that, I understand some players fall in love with their clubs but the vast vast majority don’t and won’t. It’s their job and I’m positive Sterling wants to stay as City as there’s no better gig in world football (at the minute), but he’d be pounding on the exit door if we were in 17th place. C’est la vie.
I’d much rather he had found his form than City selling him because he now has 12 months left on his deal and it’s a hell of a bet to sign him for another 5 years on mega-wages if he’s unable to get that sparkle back (especially when the best young forward in the league is now blocking his path)
Anyway, it is what it is. I'll stop fucking the thread up. Don't take anything I say seriously, I'm an idiot.
No you’re not, don’t talk silly. We are grown ups giving our opinions (which are most likely worth what we’re paying each other for them!).
