Guess you do …..
Not called a anyone an idiot but if the cap fits you mate... Feel free to carry on...
Only one side of this argument are calling the other idiots. I actually have few issues with signing Grealish, some questions that will need answering if he does sign though.

Before anyone bites my head off I’m just posting what I was told

I previously mentioned that I know someone who is very good friends with grealish (helped pay for his knee op played with him at villa). I had a catch up with him last night and couldn’t resist but ask him about grealish to city and he said Grealish told him he will be staying at villa.

Not what I wanted to hear personally but just passing on what was said
FFS.......tattoo removal booked.

The guy who knows grealish is a family friend of ours and I just asked him as I was curious if he had heard anything. I don’t know exactly when grealish told him this im just posting what I was told mate, I didn’t ask for a full transcript of the conversation they had.
Not getting Kane as well (that’s what the local butcher told me) that’s a massive blow, missing out on our 2 main targets :(

sorry but he's right , he is wank.
i was praying he wouldn't renew .

Well I know that I’m going out on a limb here, but I’ve read the beautifully worded and well constructed arguments and I’ve decided that I’ll stick with following the opinion of the scouting staff for FC Barcelona, the scouting staff for the current Premier League Champions and the Spanish National side on this one.
I think that they’re probably better placed to judge a players ability than those who turned scouse on a young player who fully honoured every day of his contract and never said a word out of turn about our club or our supporters.

I know that I’ll suffer a bit of verbal from the abusers but, I hold that it was a shameful episode and that the many decent folk on this forum would have rightly been aghast if it had been a young international player leaving the dippers and getting a similar ludicrous bile spitting slagging by their hateful feral support.

Just my opinion though.

Oh and also the opinion of the aforementioned internationally recognised experts.

It‘s nothing to do with fucking scousers. Or anything to do with him wanting to leave. I just never rated him as an adequate centre back in this league.

I think Pep only played him when desperate because of injuries or so many games and our decent defenders needing a rest. He probably hoped we could carry him and still have enough to win.

Barca are welcome to him, they’re not immune to signing some pretty average players. It was a mistake from Garcia that cost Spain a goal v Italy too, a mistake he has in him most games through lack of pace or physicality.

Anyway, good riddance to him, this is the Grealish thread. Hopefully we get Grealish, he is a good player.

They are my thoughts, not cast iron certainty that’s what’s going on. I’ve just read in between the lines after hearing a few snippets.
So maybe a load of rubbish, maybe not.

it’s the whole leaving for City which is riling up the Villa side - not leaving in general.
A fatal combination of fans conditioned into believing their club is ‘bigger’ than City and that we’re just crass arrivistes with no history, and a media ever ready to play up to that narrative in its quest for clicks. We’ll have this problem every time we ever deal with that tier of clubs that includes Spurs, Everton and Villa. A wilful determination not to sell their best players to us, yet they’d simper, bend over and take it up the arse if the rags or the dippers came a-knocking. We had it with Lescott, we had it with Sterling, we had it with Walker, and we’re gonna have it again now with Kane and Grealish. Pisses me right off.

You have some questions that will need answering, well aren't you full of your own self importance?

Jack Grealish (typed out in full just for you) is an outrageously talented footballer who it seems Pep wants and wants to come. If he comes, happy days. He will be a superstar in a City shirt imho.

As for the idiot tag, we can all be idiots from time to time, some more often than others. Those that cannot see JG 's talent clearly have a problem. I have seen all manner of idiotic comments demeaning his talent on this thread. How would you describe a poster who thinks he's not good enough for City ?

Were they part of the hatful group though?

I look at clubs fanbases and they're wankers ....in short fuck 'em.
I only replied to put that fact right. It doesn’t change the fact that I share your feelings about their fanbase. The hateful 8 were the top 10 minus us and Sheffield United. Villa weren’t in it cos they were too shit and trying to avoid relegation again after getting out the second tier. They are probably challengers though… for the premier league’s thickest fans.

There’s a whiff of burning martyr about that lot. I for one have nothing personal against Garcia whatsoever and nor do I intend to abuse you. He was however a player with significant shortcomings as a PL defender and quite honestly I’m not disappointed that he’s gone. Automatically discounting that standpoint on the grounds that Pep and the Spanish national team manager like him is your prerogative, but its not a foolproof argument. Professional managers with far more knowledge about the game than you or me have signed Jo, Bony, Charvet and Tal Ben Haim……

Garcia was in the top 5 worst players we have had in the last ten years. I can’t believe he is a professional footballer. He will bomb at Barca.
