Jack Grealish

And at Villa is where Grealish should stay. That is his level.
I remember reading similar things about Mane when he was at Southampton. Liverpool were also mocked when they signed Salah from Roma. Much as I dislike Liverpool, they have made some great recruitment. Grealish is one of the best players in the Premier League. It baffles me how many people either can't see it or refuse to accept it.

None, hence why we need to be securing his signature before a rival benefits from his brilliance. The kid is a genuine game changer.
I agree. The way I also look at it is in terms of succession planning. It’s all well and good thinking we are set in his position as it stands, but Gundogan is 31 next season, KDB is 30 next season, Mahrez is 30. And Grealish is 25 and can play both as an 8 and wide in the front three. So it’s kind of a smart signing if we go for it. Grealish will be bang in his prime just as KDB and Gundogan go on the wane.

Palmer for starters. Braaf could and should of been given more opportunities.
I don’t know why I’m replying, as thinking Cole Palmer and Braaf are better than Grealish is just absurd and almost not worth engaging with. Palmer is an exciting talent, but as things stand he is light years behind Grealish. Grealish is one of the very best players in the Premier League. Palmer is one of the very best in PL2.

Messi is Messi. But for our squad to challenge for the next 5 plus years, we're better off getting Grealish in my opinion.

Villa without him are abysmal. That shows his impact. He got called up to the England squad and ran the games. Against Belgium he was world class and a step above the others. His technique, pace, creativity - he's just a wonderful talent. You'd have a player that could play Gundogan's role. Or Bernardo's. Or De Bruyne's. Or Mahrez/Sterling's. He could play anywhere and would be influential.

Got to be at the top of our list.

Haaland, Grealish and a bonus LB is the summer transfer window of wet dreams. That’s not even factoring in the Messi circus.

I dont think we need a LB mate.

Zinchenko has been immense, Cancelo can play there, Ake can play there and Laporte can fill in there in a crisis.

I think we should be full steam ahead for Haaland and Grealish.

That’s why it’d be a bonus. Haaland and Grealish would be the requirements, but if a suitable LB crops up then sign them as well - imagine the levels with a specialist LB.

If someone is still somehow doubting his qualities its pretty telling how good Aston Villa look with him and how clueless they look without him.

This is the clincher.

Villa have lost their leader, their inspiration, thier conductor, and their ability to produce that bit of magic when required.

You can count on one hand how many players in world football possess that amount of influence.

I do think we need a solid defensive LB
