Jack Grealish

Right now, I think he could be a very useful player for us, and it looks like we should just about have room in the squad for another creative player.

If he can go up a few levels, as most do when playing under Pep, it could be a great signing. But there's no guarantee.

Personally think he's worth 60m max, but it's not my money and if Pep wants him, so do I.

An overpriced squad player no thanks. I would rather have Richarlson and that is saying something.

I dont like this transfer, dont like grealish either. good player at Villa, their best one, but to me he is not better than Mahrez was at Leicester, and i dont particularly think Mahrez made the best of his chances at City.

Wouldnt be thinking about spending 80-90m pounds on this guy now.

top striker is priority imo, and if we give an improved contract to Sterling and KDB I dont think we need Grealish with Mahrez, Bernardo, Foden all around.

Replace Fernandinho and get a proper LB and give Torres and Foden more playing time next year to see how they develop.

He wouldn’t cost 80M. Yes the striker is “the priority”, but given that this guy is either joining us or United next summer, it’s time to make the move now and block them and get the guy to fill in for our 30 or older y.o. players when time comes. Homegrown and ready

I just dont see it with this guy....he is a good player but nothing more than that....
Eh, he’s clearly pretty good and there’s probs a load of stats that can prove it. He’s still got a lot of time left and can play multiple positions and is English. He’s got a bit going for him and if he can cut out the diving and the poor off field problems (some worse than others) then I don’t see why he couldn’t be a great asset for us

I think we already have better in Foden (who is considerably younger)....KDB, Bernardo also both better

Pep loves him, i dont understand the love for him really hes a decent player but doesnt improve our squad

Whether he's as good as our best players or good enough to be in our best team is very much up for debate, but the idea he doesn't improve the squad seems a bit off. This is a guy who's creative output is almost matching De Bruyne's. There's an extremely limited number of players that can claim that.

You’re probably right but if we can add him as well as our other targets then why the fuck not? Boil some more piss
im not sure he is the type of player that other clubs will worry about us signing....

If he was off to the rags for instance I wouldnt think twice about it......I wouldnt care at all as I dont think he is a game changer

Who would you say does? Those kinda players are hard to find. I love KDB but how many people shit themselves when we signed him? Or Raz?

Both of those players had been undermined by the media...it was clear that both had huge potential.

Haaland clearly does have that for instance

I jsut feel that Grelish is average and doesnt bring anything we need

That’s fair enough, I think he’s a good player and ultimately if we sign him great and if we don’t then so be it. Hopefully we’ll go into next season with as strong a team as possible

I think a lot of people here have their opinions of him clouded by his off the pitch incidents, which I can understand, but those for me don’t matter much. I do think he would add a different kind of fire to our squad that would make us more dangerous. This comparison isn’t original but he reminds me of Hazard at his peak at Chelsea and I can only imagine how much more he would deliver alongside the players we got in terms of service

Shin pads and inability to stay upright if there is a gentle breeze are two other reasons.

I think he’s a perfect Pep player, but he comes across as a prick, which doesn’t fit our methodology.
