What’s he done to in his career to be valued at £80m? Apart from looking fancy and being effective for a year or two in a mid table team.

£30m of that will be because he’s English alone and that stupid quota inflated all of their values.

Just don’t see the value in this, creativity hasn’t been our problem and I don’t see him solving our issues of squandering chances when he’s hit double figures once.

As always, he is only worth what someone is willing to pay and, if we offer that, he is worth it.

Maybe, just maybe there's only a certain profile of player that our scouting and player recruitment team deem a valuable addition to the squad.
