Boro have never been a team I like (was a rag retirement home in the 90s) but maybe I will start rooting for them now. Hopefully they can push Cardiff and that oik Warnock out of the play-off spots.

It would be a nice comeuppance.

I see this guy is on our Stateside trip as a City player. Wonder if he will end up at the Etihad this season?

It may depend on whether he is classed as Home grown - I thought that because he went to US aged 14 that he wouldn't count - but the rules actually say "A Home Grown player will be defined as one who, irrespective of his nationality or age, has been registered with any club affiliated to the Football Association or the Football Association of Wales for a period, continuous or not, of three entire seasons or 36 months prior to his 21st birthday (or the end of the season during which he turns 21)". He was with United from 2003-2010 - so if that means he qualifies as Home grown then he can have a place in the squad without squeezing anyone else out. After that of course it depends whether he is good enough - or is he one of our investment opportunities?

Can see him being sold or loaned off again. Unfortunately he has no future at City other than to be a saleable asset. £5-10m he should pull in.

Why we loaned him to Middlesbrough, I will never know. Pulis was the worst manager he could have played under.
