Jack Rodwell

I really hope that Jack has an injury free next season. He has enormous potential. He still looks like he hasn't quite matured on the pitch. When it all comes together he is going to be a great player for City and country.

Why is everyone having a go at Jack? He was MOTM last night and has been class everytime he has been fit enough to play. (Apart from a few mistakes).
Thread was bumped by 2 months mate.

Superb game last night only matched by Nasri for me
Tevez has to be up there too. Watching the match again, it was a pretty good performance by the whole team.

I have to ask how the hell Rodwell got MOTM last night, Tevez was head and shoulders above anyone without a shadow of doubt.

I have high hopes for Rodwell in the future, and pray to god he spends the close season on shotting practice because thats the major weakness in his game, he could easily have had 2/3 goals with a little composure.

Tevez misplaced loads of easy passes last night, especially in the first half. He got the assist, but Rodwell got the assist for the assist. ;)

He's still a young lad. He's hit the woodwork a couple of times now. He will add goals to his game in due course. Just needs a decent, injury free run of games. It reminds me of what Steve Gerard used to be like at that age. Forever losing momentum because of injuries but he was fine when he got a bit older.

Lad's got Silva's finishing. ;)

Played really well last night I thought. Just needs to remain injury free and find his scoring boots..I can definitely see him as Barrys natural successor

Young enough for us to not take any risks with and really allow him to get fit and ready, something his body wasn't allowed at Everton.

He has something special and fingers crossed he stays fit and shows it for us long term.

was our best player today, he showed great pace, desire and technical ability. The second goal he scored was class. I want him in the first team next season

Changed my mind about Jack after finally getting to see him play. If he can get healthy, he'll make it here. He seems much more suited to a free attacking role than a holding role. Was encouraging watching him run past defenders.
