If Fernandinho comes in I would slowly start making Fernandinho and Rodwell starting midfielders with Yaya playing an ever decreasing role or play in the advanced role. Either he just doesn't have the stamina anymore and we'll have to except that he will play less or he will stay in the advanced position and we will see him at his best or the extra competition will make him up his game.

i would do the same, with rodwell and fernandinho we will have so much pace aswell.

Rodwell played well today and it is a shame he was taken off. Was he injured or was it to protect him?

Good energy, pace and vision. Two-footed, with ability to go past players and can tackle. Could prove to be one of our best buys.

i think he was taken of as a precaution, which seems sensible. i reckon he will be one of our best buys, once he gets over his injuries

Rodwell shone today and proved he is understudy to Yaya, bursting forward today from midfield ala Yaya style was great to see and 2 very well taken goals

Reminds me of Frank Lampard a bit in how he finds the right dangerous positions. If he can overcome his injury problems he could be an important player next season.

Even saw a post earlier from Blue Haze I think (?) saying ive changed my mind on rodwell after finally seeing him play .....I mean seriously WHAT THE FUCK !!!!!

Rodwell is a decent footballer. Infact he is absolute quality. Anybody who knows anything about football can see it.

Quick, strong athletic, enthusiastic, two footed, technically good, passing ability......whats not to like about him????

Just needs to stay fit .
