Jadon Sancho

Why is it his loss? Ffs can you not look at the lads situation objectively.? .you sound like red scouse militia when Sterling left them.

And whats wrong with a bit of arrogance? Pep has it.All top players have it...If you believe in yourself,as a footballer,at the top level, you will go a lot further than one with fragile confidence. I really dont see any reason for folk to keep saying childish things about an 18 yr old player who has made an audacious ,brave move to a completely different culture/country,achieved regular first team football, helped his team to the knock out stages of Champions league and become a full international footballer......and you think that such transformation from academy graduate to Englands full side is ....a loss?
Wow...such green eyed envy.
Sad.imo.

Guess I see a difference between arrogance & expertise/confidence. Peps 40 Sancho was 16.

All about opinions- not really feeling as het up about it as you. Don’t really care either way about Sancho. Like Pep - I just feel that the fact he wasn’t “ up for the challenge at City” says it all.

What part of he wanted to leave because he wasn't getting a chance do you need to understand, just have a fucking think before you become the internet ****.

lol get over what? He is gone nothing to get over, you can say we made a blooper, it doesn't make you less of a fan you know, we let him leave the club due to lack of game time, not the guaranteed game time, he got none, left and a year and a half later is a full England International, we signed Mahrez for 70m a season later, I believe the Yanks call that doubling down.
He was just 16 when he decided he was leaving (17 when he actually left), tell me which club (let alone a top one) gives any game time to a 16 year old?

It's alright, take your time...

BTW we paid £60 million for Mahrez, not £70 million and it was a year after Sancho left so for you and the other idiots who don't understand simple timelines, the two aren't connected excepting the fact that Sancho may (only may) have played in his stead if only he'd been more patient. Were we enquiring about him previously? Undoubtedly, we would be looking at multiple players at all times. If a young player can't see past that then good luck to them elsewhere.

The fact that he's done so well since leaving is actually immaterial.

Well said sir!

It's not giving Sancho or anyone the game time at 16 which matters imo.

It's making any 16 year old believe that he will get game time in the future, if he turns down others & stays at City, if he performs well at his level.

Many of the kids in City's youth setup, were good enough to have had game time for City's first team & performed exeptionally at their level. Hardly any got significant game time & out of those who did, it wasn't much at all. And kids such as Lopes, who did perfectly ok, were dropped & then sold anyhow.

There has to be a reason, it's better to stay rather than leave.

Apart from Jose Angel Pozo, can tell me which players from our academy have started a league game for us in the past 8 years?

If the scum offered 50m now for him Dortmund would snap there hand off and looking at that tweet Sancho deleted he would also jump at the chance of going there. Being still so young though it could go pairshaped.

That won't go down well on here. Apparently he's shit. I think it's better if people admit the club makes mistake and sancho is a special player.
Who cares what folk on here think? Thats basically them trying to convince themselves that he's overrated, we never dropped a bollock letting him go, he made a bad decision leaving, bla bla bla.

He's absolutely fantastic, not seen many his age as good as him either. He has the world at his feet.

£50m? They would be asking for at least double that.

I wouldn't be against the idea of re-signing him but it would probably require Sane leaving first.

I shudder to think how good he will be in 3-4 years time.

You cared enough to post, trying convince us he's not overrated. We don't owe Sancho a shiny shit so people can post what they want about him, just as you can blow smoke up his arse.

It’s a shame because I think he would be great for us now
But he never would have got the chance and he obviously backs himself.
Also foden needs some games now As he is better than both sancho and Hudson odoi and they have both played for England
It’s time we played him or loan him
That’s for him not us btw

Foden will be a star for us next season, every game now till season end is a cupfinal & not sure pep “trusts” an inexperienced 18yr old in situations like we’re gonna get every game now hence gundogan starting ahead of him who pep trusts

The way I see it the lad made the right decision for himself and if he comes back to us a better player in 2 years time and gets good game time in a successful city team then it was the right decision for us. However, if the rags snap him up for £100 million and he gets good game time in a successful united team then he can f@@k right off!...:)

I can't see the rags buying him for £100 million after Ole has said he is committed to rag academy, oh hang on....

Would piss people off if we bought him back
One less stick to beat us with
We can use the £500m from the next etihad corner flag sponsor deal

Come on though mate, for folk to say he's not all that when he clearly is a brilliant talent, i think its just bitterness.

It would be really good if we had a sell on % as reported in some places.

Not just because we might get 30/40m out of the blue, but because we could buy him for 70 if the asking price is 100, 84 if the asking price is 120 etc.

That would make any deal bringing him back a lot more palatable.

Personally I think we should look at Sancho as what he is now, not what he was before.

And currently hes the best teenage prospect in the world, on a very clear trajectory to being world class, and he's English, and hes club trained, and he's young.

He is obviously a player we should be keeping tabs on at least.

Pep has stated that he doesn’t think Sancho will be back at City while he is in charge, so it’s all rather academic.
