He didn't want to stay here, it's very doubtful he'd want to come back.

People keep saying this but it doesn't really make sense.

He didn't want to stay here because he knew he'd not get game time, be held back, and the club were falling over themselves trying to buy Sanchez.

If he came back like Pogba with a club record fee, he's no longer have to worry about getting game time or his career progressing.

The only reason he left would be not be an issue.


The much bigger reason he won't come back is because we just filled our wing vacancy with Mahrez, a club record signing who seems to be settling in well.

I'd cut the time frame down to next summer. Chelsea and United are desperate for a winger, Real need more fire power and Barca will probably get involved. Wouldn't be surprised to see us and Liverpool involved though. Don't think Bayern will pay the price though.

Yep he moved because he wasn’t going to get game time fair do’s to the lad and he has been excellent.

He'd agreed a new deal and then went back on it; he had no qualms over playing time when the club waved £30k a week in his face.

I'd bet Dortmund waved a few million at him on top of that and his head turned.

If he backed himself to break into our side, as the club evidently did, then he'd be here and whether it was last season or now he'd have been in the same situation any player would find themselves in when they join.

Yes, there is. The lad seems to love the club and badly wants to make it here according to reports, and if we start giving him some playing time that could convince him to stay

Trying to make out Sancho left us for Dortmund for more money is just inaccurate and low.

We offered him 30k a week which was huge for a 17 year old. He nearly signed because hey who wouldn’t be seduced by that kind of cash. But in the end he joined Dortmund for more playing time and what he must have believed was the better option for his long term future.

He’s unquestionably made the right decision.

Doesn’t mean he wouldn’t come back in the future however.
