Jadon Sancho

I think the resentment with many comes from his going AWOL in trying to force a move away, which at 17, fucking stinks. But fair play to him for going abroad, it's clearly worked out for him.

I do think he's being massively overrated at the moment, look at his goals this week. 3 tap ins from heavy counter attacks, 2 or 3 against one. Dortmund system is so good for a winger, as they get so many chances to break in numbers and bag easy goals + assists.

I'd consider signing him if sterling went to real, but by the same token I'd also consider giving Diaz the spot so he signs a new deal.

Good post - especially regarding the hype, and also his behaviour before leaving . A 17year old kid basically sticking two fingers up to a manager with vast experience .

feel free to call me bitter here, but i just cannot find it in myself to wish the lad well. The way he treated the club in the lead up to his departure, his refusal to train, go on the club tour and in many ways act like a spoilt brat, was an absolute disgrace. Don't get me wrong, he was well within his right to leave the club, but theres much better ways of going about it.

And yet this season Sane has been dropped due to his attitude and Mendy banned from the first team squad for a week due to lateness. Surely they were both sticking their fingers up to Pep too?

It’s not great but players look after themselves. I guess City’s strategy is take a strong stance unless they sign the contract but be in strong position either to profit or sign them back. With £8m profit already plus a buy back claus he’d not cost that much. If another club came stiffing we’d slap in some big bids just to raise the price.
