Be good if sancho said he would never ever come back, and end this fukn tedious trolling that keeps polluting Bm,by posters who clearly have an agendagainst the management. Clear as day and boring with it jfo
We were also told Pep and Txiki considered Laporte as "persona non grata" yet they spent £57m on him eleven months ago.
Don't think we dropped the ball, you as good as say it yourself there was no obvious route into the first team any time soon all the players in front of him are here for the long haul. Now that Sterling's signed up for another 5 years, Sane's close to extended, Mahrez has only just signed and Bernardo's more than capable of playing out wide, we're well stocked on the wings for the foreseeable future. Subject to one of them leaving, I cannot see us going for anyone else for at least the next 2-3 years (but obviously football can change quickly).
I think that our best hope is that someone comes in with a monumental offer and we benefit from our sell on clause we have with Dortmund. I would not be remotely surprised if that's United in a year or two. Chelsea are also a strong contender if Hazard were to leave.
We dropped the ball with Sancho, he's going to be an incredible player and we just have to live with it. Hopefully it will give the club the kick up the arse it needed when it comes to our star academy players.
I don't think we made a mistake. Sancho did what he thought was best for him, we pocketed £8m and will get a potentially very sizeable lump sum as our share of future profit. We made a mistake with him. Some people can't criticise or take any criticism of the club, but the pathway from youth team to first team leaves a lot to be desired.

Rubbish, although you might have a point if we were Everton. We made a mistake with him. Some people can't criticise or take any criticism of the club, but the pathway from youth team to first team leaves a lot to be desired.

barca make that mistake all the time, they just just wheel out the trophies and Messi, so when the BBC and others sing his praises we just wheel out our trophies and ask when is he going to be as good as Sane,Do you reckon Barca get this "they made a mistake and let him go" bollocks every time someone poaches one of their young players? Young players jump ship all the time, there is little you can do to stop it.
He was 17 and wanted assurances pf game time. He went on strike - a fully fledged prima donna. We are debatably the BEST TEAM in Europe and have some of the world's best young talent already.
Not our mistake and people who only accept the blatant media biased BS need to get real. All major companies lose good employees every so often, as the decision rests with the individual. Sancho made his choice (at 17) and FODEN has made his.
I watched that press conference and I don't think it was that black and white at all. I took it as Pep saying, "listen he we wanted him here last time and he didn't want to stay so who knows?". As in, yeah maybe he could but even if we wanted him he needs to want us as well, rather than there being no chance because he snubbed us or whatever.I don't know if folks missed it, but Pep has already said Sancho is not coming back, referencing him 'not wanting to be here', so he's not coming back whilst Pep is here.
