Funny the way Sky have it down as 'Man United being creative signing Sancho' for £120m.

Imagine if that was us....Big spending Manchester City look to sign Sancho for a staggering £120m.

We'd have to go to CAS to pull that one off.
 
This is what makes it a very interesting deal. They would have a player who is a proven goal scorer in a league with zero defending but numbers seldom lie. Torres plays for a poor Valencia side and has a lot of potential to harness. The difference now comes from the coaching department and for that, we have the best manager in the world. Next couple of years will be very interesting now. Hence it becomes very important that Pep signs a contract extension. Also, I may be looking through my blue-tinted glass but it is a perfect opportunity for Pep to establish his legacy here. We were just cleared by CAS and sky is the limit now. I sincerely hope he is there to build another spine for City as the legends of the last decade are coming to the end of their career at City. Let's win the CL for Aguero and Silva
 
It's always interesting to see players and teams develop.. Fernandez was a good signing for them. Said before he moved he'd do very well. But he's a nasty f*****. Then Sancho, the player that's gone awol for us has had a question mark over attitude (never really been about talent - he's a good footballer), Dortmund have had their issues. Complains he cannot play because he's tired. Turned up late for training whilst over there and gets fined 86k and made to train alone. Fined for flouting COVID rules to get a haircut.
He was warned to curb his partying antics with Aubemeyang iirc too.

So basically, United will be competetive again for top 4 with a few more signings and will be a snide team going about it. Think of it as day/night or Barca/ Real, or City / Utd.
 
Its a great signing for them. On pure footballing talent alone I would love him back at City. Obviously he has had his off-field issues but he is a kid and you would expect him to mature and for the off-field antics to become less of an issue. We have people like Stones and Walker with various misdemeanours, so those in glass houses etc etc.

A front three of Martial, Rashford and Sancho, with Fernandes and Pogba behind is potentially very good and poses a threat to City and Liverpool. This isn't necessarily a bad thing. We need other teams to pose a threat to our main rivals, having to hit 95+ points every season, to maintain a title challenge is asking a too much.
 
If this guy is any good he would still be at City, look at how Pep immediately dismisses City would be in for in. He’s seen something in him he doesn’t like. Where he is going for his next club tells us all we need to know, a flashy show pony who is there for the big wages, they’ve been stung like that before with Sanchez and Di Maria. Least it will keep the social media figures up and the noodle sponsors happy.
 
Surprised they havent tried signing another dortmund player at the same time for well above value and reduce the sancho fee just to limit our cut

the lad is undoubtedly top class, its his attitude that seems to stink
 
The worlds spotlight is on this lad and I'm not convinced he's done anything worse than hundreds of other young footballers. The narrative he has an attitude problem will evaporate once he arrives at United
