I think it is accepted that they are going to pay £120 million to get him but they want to pay in instalments that Dortmund are not happy with, i am sure it was quoted as £70 million, £30 million and then a final £20 million where Dortmund want a one off payment.

If any of us want to buy something for £120m then you need to cough up £120m. It’s not like United have got the reddies to hand (as Simon Stone would have you believe) - they are gonna have to borrow the £120m in any case so whether they borrow some now or some later they are plunging further into debt as they always do - maybe the levels of debt are catching up with them? They clearly have issues raising the money for this transfer. From Dortmund’s perspective you can’t blame them for wanting most of it upfront -given the Pandemic and maybe United are increasingly looking like a bad risk if you add their own debt and the debt the Glazers have secured on the club. There could be up to a billion loaded against those prime assets - a crumbling OT and Pogba.

I love how their arrogance is their downfall every time. Fans I suppose you can understand but when the businessmen are telling everyone they are the richest and can do what other clubs can only dream of, it's madness. Instead of being professional and keeping everything behind closed doors they are out gobbing off. They have put themselves in a situation where selling clubs know they won't walk away from a deal because they have talked too much and their image would take a bruising so they always end up overpaying just to save face. I think there is a significant difference between Sancho's stats in the Bundesliga and his stats in the CL and for England. Apparently, Dortmund's style in the Bundesliga is perfect for him. Last season, Haller and Jovic had excellent stats in the Bundesliga too but have done nothing of notice after moving to the PL and La Liga respectively. 120m are a big gamble, imo.
