Jadon Sancho

Clearly it would be in our best interests to drive the Sancho fee up? Could the rags drive the koulibaly fee up? I very much doubt it if there balls deep for Sancho there will only be enough money left to sign mediocre players from clubs like say Swansea.

That wouldn’t make much sense, would it? The idea of stepping aside for each other is that the respective selling clubs then need to lower their asking price. With us out of the picture, Dortmund know they’re not going to get their top price, so it becomes a question of banking an enormous profit now, or waiting to see what happens next year. The fact that they have another prodigious talent in the making might make the decision easier.

Why would he sign a contract if he knew that's what the plan was? It's not football manager on the PC.
I don’t really know what that is, I’m afraid.

Angelino signed such a contract because he still believed he could make it at our club, and presumably Douglas Luiz has likewise. Sancho obviously had no such intention and wanted complete freedom in that regard.

No but the more they pay the more we receive on our sell on clause
Do you really honestly believe the other parties (United, Dortmund and Sancho) are that fucking stupid to be oblivious to what we were trying to do? Honestly it's like some people live a fantasy life on here. Why don't you tell them the earth's flat as well.

United where not paying £80 million for Maguire, they where not, they where not and then...they did.

For me this transfer will be the same except this time, I do think they are buying top quality.

He does seem to be loving life and whilst this may annoy some here, I don’t think it means he will be a bad signing.

The fact he has 3 years left, Dortmund will not sell cheap. Our sell on clause also means they need more money to make it worthwhile.

It is up to United to meet their valuation or not, he is their jewel and prized possession. To have an English player with the riches of the PL, was always going to be a good investment for Dortmund.

United have a point that the market is different at the moment. I have no issue with that.

However, you don’t sell your investments when the market is low unless you have to and with 3 years left they have another year to see if the market picks up.

i think thats exactly what dortmund will do mate. Its been the best £8m pound anyone has spent in a long while!

he will end up at utd - we know the routine by now....Dortmund will cave in, Sancho and Utd will use the media to place pressure on Dortmund to sell, it will be his dream to play for utd, he will go on strike and be unhappy, Dortmund cast as the bad guys not allowing Sancho to fullfill his dream. and Utd will pay a fee that will be reported as a bargain no matter what it is.
