So now we know that they took a lookalike, who they dressed in the guys own clothes to pretend he left.

This way Mr Kasshoggi, would you mind removing all your clothes.

If you go into that room covered in plastic sheeting, we will send in a group of men to torture you, cut off all your fingers, decapitate you whilst still alive, cut you up expertly, thanks to the autopsy specialist who we just happened to bring along with a bonesaw. We have flown a whole group here without anybody in power aware of it at all. We can do whatever we like, it’s great.

We will be scapegoated for it though, so don’t feel too bad as all of us are dead too.

Trump nods in agreement. Bloody rogues. If only we had some to deal with CNN.

At the end of the day, nothing Turkey or the US has done in relation to this compares to chopping off someone's fingers, torturing him to death then chopping up his body for disposal - all pre-meditated. Saudi are way at the top of the list of countries that need to be criticised with the US a distant second for supporting the Saudi's ludicrous cover story. The Turks are definitely playing this to their own advantage but many countries would do the same.

ahem............ Skripal.........cough, cough..... Salisbury......not like we didn't play games with something along the same lines is it? Took Brexit off the front pages for a few useful weeks for Mayday after all.

As a plot for a spy novel its unbelievable isn't it? Yet this is real life. Spies and a hit squad who don't understand about bugging, CCTV and the extreme violence their own side are capable of to ensure silence?

It’s a keystone cop scenario. They think because they can act like barbarians at home, they can get away with it anywhere. If they didn’t have oil, the US would have invaded them years ago on the grounds of ending moral and social deprivation.

Trying to spin they did it off their own back is utterly ridiculous.

Sadly I fully accept that. I make the point because everyone is knocking the Saudis for being murderers and Trump for not wanting it to effect jobs re arms sales. Turkey is simply playing the same two faced game and it is why politicians are despised the world over. Yes you have to think about jobs, lay off 500 Americans from a lost arms deal and there is shit to pay but an innocent man has been brutally murdered and Turkey sits there playing the Truth and Justice card. Bastards the lot of them.
Well he was hardly an innocent man was he?
He referred to the king of Saudi as a bad man. If that isn’t asking for a brutal, horrific death then I don’t know what is.

That’s a game changer. Calling the King a bad man? I’ve seen the King and he always comes across as a saintly man.

What was I thinking? Boy do I feel stupid.

I’d stick to that story if I were you, unless you want some rogue agents having a game of “operation” on you.

Exactly. It didn’t change the fact that Russia did it and left enough clues for Inspector Clouseau to solve it, and told a story so implausible that it could have come from Trump. Saudi’s are playing the same game just as badly.

I’m not sure what you’re getting at here.

What did the UK government do that was along the same lines?

The Turks are using these events to their own advantage as did we with the Salisbury poisonings. Not in the same way but both govts exploited the situation as it suits them.

I got that part, how did the government exploit it?

As you know, I’m no fan of the Tories but I can’t see them doing anything wrong.

It was fucking atrocious what happened, UK citizens poisoned in our own country by another state, using a banned chemical weapon.

I have thought of that and am currently laying boobytraps in the garden and surrounding roads. One Allah Ackbar and they’re mince. Plus Imoving to France and changing my name to le pole de magic. Bomb proof.

I think that if criticism against Saudi starts to gain momentum, a critical mass will be reached and then they’re fucked. At the moment, potential critics see it as a pointless exercise because of the business we do with them. We’ve seen what happens when campaigns start to snowball though recently. The slightest bit of news which would have originally been brushed aside will become headline news. Politicians from all countries will be under immense pressure to distance themselves from the pariah.

It’d be nice if they bought the rags before the shit hits the fan though.
:)

Your user name gives you away, i think you are a one of the 51 brothers and you are trying to influence me, Ok it worked, how many guns do you want to buy, planes did I mention I have some planes ?

I don’t think we’re guilty of anything more than carefully managing the release of information to a timetable that suited us at the time. Much the same as the Turks are doing now. Doesn’t make us or the Turks in any way comparable to the perpetrators of the crimes.

No more atrocious with what went on in Turkey.

Turkey could be said to be accused of milking it leaking info to keep it relevant - I suspect had they not done so and just published whet they knew on day one by now Trump would have strong armed as many countries as he could to "over look it".
In terms of the poisoning Mayday immediately went on the offensive against Russia before anything was even proven. As I say it served as a useful Brexit distraction ( she would love one now ) but by doing so before they could publish any proof was the UK govt milking it for their own ends. Porton Down findings, CCTV footage etc etc all followed some time later.

She went on the aggressive because she knew, that they knew, that she knew, that they did it.

It was glaringly obvious to the entire world that many of our allies imposed sanctions as well as us.

They released evidence after they had analysed it fully and so the Russians would struggle to excuse it.

Both us and Turkey have been clever. Nothing more or less.

The whole thing is a distraction anyway, state sponsored murder on another country’s soil, with banned chemical weapons is going to be news for a while regardless.
