Jamal Musiala

Yeah I’m not convinced on these rumours at all - can’t see us dropped that money on Neves though

There is a lot of talk of contracts at Bayern. Wanting players to take a cut Kimmich/Sane if they want to resign. Him getting a bumper contract at Bayern might not be as easy as some think.

I think this has legs. Tolmie and Steve both saying so definitely makes it a less bold prediction but -

He’s 21 and on his 4th club. Changed nationality 4 times, he’s not a local lad or academy player really, he’s as English as he is German. So it’s not like trying to sign Thomas Müller the world’s biggest Bayern fan.

He’s about to get a 4th manager in 4 years at Bayern which can’t be great for his development. Might be his last chance to work with Pep.

Bayern are struggling to match top end salaries these days (they always paid a lot more than people think, top 3/4 wage bills in the world) because they went too high trying to keep Lewandowski and getting Sané - now everyone wants 17-20m a year.

So that tells me we can probably offer better money.

Looks like Davies, Kimmich, Goretzka, Upamecano, Mazraoui, Sané and Gnabry could be leaving or the club wants them to.

Loads of upheaval at the club, still no permanent manager, lots of older, high wage players to replace which will get expensive and make €100m cash very attractive.

Sorry for the slightly disjointed post but I just think it smells right. This might be the summer that the Germans find out just how far ahead the PL is getting.

We was all in for Bellingham and musiala is virtually the same player so it makes sense that we would be willing to pay big money for him. Be intresting to see what happens in the summer paqueta seems to be happening if musiala comes too does that mean we don't go for a rodri back up?

I think we could do all 3 - I get the impression we have lots of money to spend this summer.

It's one thing to have the money for three midfielders. But where and when are they all going to get game time?

Just off the top of my head we'd have: Rodri, KDB, Foden, Bernardo, Kovacic, Nunes, Alvarez, Paqueta, Musiala, and a Rodri replacement (maybe Joao Neves) all competing for just 3 spots in the team sheet. That's 10 players.

Sure we might have a 1 or 2 departures this summer but I'm not sure I can see us bringing in that many midfield players. Would much rather us target a RW and RB

Think Pep will try 3 at the back and go with a double pivot. 3-4-3 or 3-5-2 Plenty of room for Midfielders, and Pep likes a midfielder. Plus at least one will leave, maybe 2.
