reeve took over stannage's show on key 103, i loved listening to it while at work, some arsehole who used to call in every night (the agrophobic if anyone remembers ) annoyed him to the point where reeves swore at him, he complained to ofcom and reeve was sacked, this idiot also had a hand in stannage going as well.

james stannage sometimes compares a quiz night in the boozer on stalybridge station. (i think he lives that way)

Both are very much missed. Reeve should be invited on here. That would be fun. ;-)

Was that the BNP supporter-I think he called himself Roy?-Who got James H sacked?

james h is a top class radio presenter, after dinner speaker, city fan.he's not on key103 anymore for the same reason Stannage is'nt.too contraversial.rather listen to those 2 than the twats that present late night phone ins these days.severe lack of late night radio phone ins these days.cyberblue is yer man for james h reeve's latest career developments.I'm sure i once heard Johnny on the spot say he knew Stannage quite well.

Top bloke and as we all know a big blue, what about the other fella who has dissapeard from the airwaves?James Stanage, wheres he?used to love settling down in bed at night listening to his show, very funny and witty.
stannage is still on the radio mate. (albiet online) he's on manchester radio online. ive not listened to him in ages tbh but he's definitely still around. he's uncensored on mro so i think he enjoys it a lot more. although he's begging for callers. i guess thats the problem when manchester radio online doesn't promote itself. anyway, just thought i'd let you or anyone else know.

James Stannage was suspended in 2005 after comments to scouse callers to his MCR based radio show following Liverpool's Champions League win. The new emap controller, Anthony Gay (his real name) suspended Stannage pending an internal investigation. Emap were determined to reign the station into its vision of every fucker all listening to the same shit, all the time. Hence that daft fucking logo everywhere you look. Emap specialise in 'burger' stations, ie the same fucking shit, everywhere you go- just like a fast food chain.

Used to listen to a half hour James H Reeve show on 5live called 'Bob Hatton Rattle'.
He did it with Tommy Docherty, in the nineties....anyone remember this??

I do remember it and also the James and the Doc programme which was very funny. I actually quite like Docherty after this, he was quite a funny bloke. They also did the Ballard of Franny Lee, anyone remember this?

James turned up on Jazz FM years ago, and after a Grover Washington Junior song ended he said that he had learned something new that day. He'd always thought G.W.J. was a primary school in the North East!

i asked the question because i looked up james h on facebook
it says hes currently hosting a saturday sports show on 96.2 revolution, but when i looked at the schedules he was nowhere to be seen
class act was james ,fantastic brain

I am sure James H left Revolution in May 09. He is still our Branch President but we have no contact with him after he apparently had a fallout with City. It had something to do with the ' Meet and greet ' in the Suites at Coms and I heard he felt he had been pushed out. I have never seen a Compere like James on Sportsmans Evenings, he could hold an audience in the palm of his hand and have everyone in stitches. His knowledge of the Blues is second to none and he holds the distinction of being on the Cameras when City beat Newcastle at Sid James Park when we won the 1st Div Championship. He will always be a true Blue and will never suffer fools gladly, a top,top man!
