James McLean

The place is more commonly called Derry by the people living there not Londonderry. The majority of protestants also call it Derry. It was Derry until the 1600's
Was always Londonderry

When I was last there a local protestant was quite angry due to one of my colleagues calling it the aforementioned, you live and learn

There is absolutely no correlation with wearing a poppy and earning a living in a particular country.

Absolute mental gymnastics from some who want to justify having a go at him, or anyone, just for the sake of being offended.

It's like why folk wonder why Sterling gets such abuse from some quarters, when you boil it down to 'Occam's razor' it's hideously obvious. Same principle applies here.
Total shite. Just to repeat, it's not about deciding not to wear a poppy, it's about supporting murdering scum. This shithouse hasn't even got the balls to come out and admit it. And as for the Sterling reference, fucking pathetic attempt at correlation.

Theres dozens of people i know who have'nt got a poppy, work mates, lads in the pub neighbours, nobody caresless.

The irony is delicious.

I would agree if that was his motive, it isn't, he supports the IRA and everything that goes with that. Its indoctrinated to those where he grew up, no difference to those chaps in Tower Hamlets. If you cannot see that then I pity you

You’s are technically both right but that’s another story, anyhow I think what the crux of the problem is McLean does not wish to have a poppy on his shirt, that’s not a problem,it’s when he starts spouting on Facebook or wherever he has about uneducated cavemen and previous stuff, just say nothing or post nothing and it drifts away to be forgotten about the week after Remembrance Sunday ..

Wrong his sympathies lie with the dissident republicans, but again that’s another story..edit just in case some get the wrong end of the stick I am in no way sticking up for the cnut either ..
