ffs.

Why is he boo boy? It is clear Mancini doesn't really rate him due to the number of starts he gets.

Mancini will soon have a choice of

Sinclair, Rodwell, Yaya, Barry, Garcia,Milner, Nasri, Silva

For 4 positions and 2 on the bench. Two will miss out altogether.

I would be amazed if Milner starts more than 10 games in the league this season.

why is he a boo boy ?? you need to read more threads on here bud.

About every poster has expressed appreciation for Milner, but agreed he's not quite good enough to be a first team regular. That's not making him the new 'boo boy' in my book!

Lacks heavily in vision and instinct. Makes up for it with his work ethic. He will never be Gareth Barry's successor unfortunately.

Workhorse with no end product.
Not much use if he can't pick a pass or cross the ball. He'll be gone next window or the summer.

I like milner the lad trys even when things arent going for him.I think mancini should play him more. And last season at old trafford he was brilliant

some one tell mancini to play him in the middle and not out wide please

James will be barrys replacement if he plays more in the middle and he is more than capable of doing a great job there

Milner is not good enough to play in the middle for a top team let alone a passing team like City. You need great control and passing ability to play there for City. Milner has a poor touch and does not read the game well enough. There is a reason Mancini wants 4 midfielders to cover the middle and not one of them is Milner.

He can do a job on the wing and is good defensively for a winger. Can be a useful squad player if he is prepared to accept this.

I'm sure he is, he is top professional.

I remember someone from England team saying that they were all pissed about FA's choice for team base while they were in SOuth Africa as they were away from any big city and felt boring. He said that it only didn't bother Milner and that he could probably stay there for another 2 months without saying a single word.
